A cafe located less than a 10-minute walk from Omori Station West Exit. Since it opens at 11, I visited just after 11 on a holiday. It's a bit of a walk from the station and is truly a hidden gem tucked away in a residential area. The entrance is hidden, so you have to go through a narrow path from the street to reach the cafe entrance in the back. Inside, there are high-table counter seats and a space under the stairs that looks like a warehouse or cave where you can sit on something like a Yogibo. Be careful not to bump your head. Are the drinks only coffee-based? There was hot coffee with a choice of beans, as well as cafe au lait and coffee tonic. For sweets, the lineup included kumquat tart, rare cheesecake, and pudding, all at an incredibly cheap price of 400 yen. I had the cheesecake and kumquat tart. The cheesecake was creamy but had a nice acidity, making it refreshing and delicious. The kumquat tart is also good. The almond part is also nice. Not only were the sweets delicious, but the staff was kind, making it a cozy and relaxing cafe.
View on Google[Omori] From Omori Station North Exit towards the Sanno side, turn into the residential area halfway along German Street, and you'll find a Western-style building that doesn't look like a cafe. After passing through a small tunnel there, you arrive at the shop. At 10:45 on a Saturday, there were already regulars in the secret base-like room and at the counter. I ordered Toraja G1 and a persimmon shortcake. The cake appeared to be handmade by the owner, a madam. Plus, the price was surprisingly low, which made me happy. In a relaxed atmosphere, I was able to enjoy delicious cake and coffee while listening to the madam's stories. Thank you for the meal♪
View on GoogleI don't know what everyone is looking for, but a cafe with an open kitchen where you can watch them brew in front of you = of course, conversation becomes the main focus, and I think it would be worse if it were dead silent in such a small space. It was my first visit, but I think this is a place to enjoy communication. It might be tough for introverts, but if you have that kind of complex, it actually seems like the perfect place to overcome it. The staff are truly kind, friendly, and warm, and all the customers were nice people too. I came to study for a test, but I ended up enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime conversation and had such a meaningful time. It's a huge loss that I've lived in this area for 20 years and didn't know about this until now; I definitely want to come back. The coffee is exceptional. The iced coffee is cooled by placing the glass inside a block of ice instead of putting ice in it so it doesn't get diluted, which is wonderful... you can enjoy the finest coffee without it getting watered down. As for the pudding, it has the perfect texture—not too hard, not too soft. The caramel is nicely bitter and pairs perfectly with the sweetness, making it impossible to stop eating. The happiness of having a shop I want to keep visiting so close by is immeasurable. The happiness of feeling an improvement in QOL is a joy in life that cannot be replaced by anything.
View on Google[What I ate] ・Pound cake ・Iced cafe au lait [Impressions] From the outside, it doesn't look like a cafe at all; it's truly a hidden gem. When you open the door, a quiet and relaxing space unfolds, with a counter and one private room like a secret base. The ice in the iced cafe au lait is made of coffee, so it's a nice touch that it doesn't get diluted as it melts. There were plenty of cake varieties, so I'd like to try other sweets next time. Note that payment is cash only. [Atmosphere] •Customer base: 20s-40s, men/women 1:1 •Quietness: Very quiet •Usage: Solo cafe, reading, hidden date spot •Budget: Cafe ¥1,000~
View on GoogleWalk a bit from Omori Station North Exit and pass through the tunnel next to a building that looks like a hidden spot, and you'll reach the shop. It was a shop with many regulars. There didn't seem to be a time limit for regulars, but since it was my first time and I hadn't even been there for an hour, I was asked to leave because it was crowded. Even though I still had some drink left, I drank it quickly and left, so while the drinks and desserts are delicious, it's not a place where you can take your time. Also, although the ice is made of coffee, the ice that fell into the sink was put back into the storage container, so I was a bit concerned about hygiene.
