手打うどんときわ@Kabe Age nasu tsuke(tsuke)¥1000, large portion ¥150 「ときわ」, a handmade udon shop in Kabe with a charming appearance. I was going to get niku tsuke, but they had dipping udon with fried eggplant and meat, so I ordered that in a large portion❗️ The glossy flat udon is smooth, slippery, and chewy❗️ Its texture differs from Musashino udon, but how smoothly it goes down is especially noteworthy. The sweet, fairly rich dipping broth contains plenty of pork and eggplant fried without batter❗️ The freshly fried eggplant soaks up the broth and is incredibly good‼️ After finishing the udon, I diluted the dipping broth with udon cooking water and drank it down. The large portion is quite generous❗️ Absolutely stuffed, thanks for the meal♪
View on GoogleThe udon had a distinctive texture and was very delicious. It appears to be run by an elderly couple. I'd like to visit again.
View on GoogleOn my way home after work, the storefront caught my eye just as I passed, so I visited for the first time🎵 The reviews looked good, and the appetizing photos had me building up high expectations😁 (👊😭Forgot to photograph the storefront⤵⤵️) The compact interior had just the right Showa-era feel. Thinking to myself, 「Oh, this is definitely going to be good」, I ordered 『Tokiwa tsuke udon』 and 『Anago tempura』🍜 The Tokiwa tsuke udon has green onions fried without batter in the meat broth, with a full dashi flavor that's comforting( ´∀`)b I dipped the handmade, slightly wavy flat udon and slurped it up in one go!! I couldn't help saying, 「So good!」 Eating it with the gently sweet pork belly🐖 had me overflowing with happiness🌸 「The anago is small, so we've added vegetable tempura」…… What wonderful service😭 Of course, that was delicious, too😋 The food was delicious, of course, but were they a married couple? The atmosphere the two of them created was also wonderful. From finishing my meal until leaving, I felt truly comfortable and had a better time than expected🍀 For me, this is a definite repeat visit✌
View on GoogleI had delicious flat udon. While looking for lunch in Higashi-Ome, I felt like udon and came here. I ordered tenzaru udon and waited while watching the udon and tempura being prepared right in front of me. Even the regular portion has a generous amount of flat udon, with shrimp, broccoli, pumpkin, and carrot tempura, making it very satisfying! The udon has a distinctive flat shape, a nice texture, and goes down smoothly, so you just keep eating. The tempura was mostly vegetables, but everything was delicious. You can get udon or soba cooking water, so after eating you can dilute the dipping sauce and drink it. There seems to be parking, so people coming by car can feel at ease, too. It's a fair distance from the station, so if you're heading there on foot, taking a bus part of the way would also be a good idea.
View on GoogleI eat curry udon almost every time I come here. The udon noodles are handmade, firm and chewy, and very delicious. They provide a paper apron, so I don't have to worry about splashes on my clothes and could eat comfortably even wearing white.
