While shopping nearby, I suddenly really wanted soba and found this place on Google. Its GoogleMap rating was not high, but I really wanted soba, so I hurried over. When I went in around 14 on a weekend, there were 2 groups totaling 5 customers. The parking is rather tight, with space for 3 cars. The interior has an old-fashioned atmosphere and did not leave a bad impression. Prices were about the same as an ordinary soba shop. I ordered kamo soba and a TOKYOX (pork) don and mori soba set. The food did not take particularly long to arrive. The rice bowl was delicious, with a strongly seasoned soy-sauce-based flavor that men would probably like. Younger people might find the portion small. The mori soba had some chew, but the soba flavor seemed weak. Nihachi soba, perhaps? The dipping sauce was to my taste, rich and distinctly sweet. However, there was far too little sauce left to mix with sobayu at the end, which was such a shame. Quite a few people probably visit soba shops because they enjoy that part. I am one of them, so it was sad. The warm kamo soba was tasty, with those same noodles in a lighter broth, but I could not taste any flavor in the duck… Frozen? Old? There was no unpleasant smell, but the lack of flavor was very disappointing. Well, I was just passing through, so I doubt I will come a second time, but considering the price, it barely gets a passing grade.

There are so many menu options that it is hard to decide what to order on a first visit. Everything my companion and I ordered seemed short on noodles. Even I, who am satisfied with a regular serving at places offering free large portions, felt it was not enough, so adult men should probably order 2 trays or a large serving. The flavor and chew were average. The extensive menu was the only thing that left an impression.

This was my first visit. I ordered the Tokyo Shamo soboro don set. I enjoyed it; it was tasty. The calm atmosphere was nice.

It was delicious. Some people said the portions were small, but they were enough for me. The nukazuke was tasty too, and the tempura was not overly oily, which was nice.

The classic tempura soba! The subtle oil released from the crispy tempura gives it a smooth mouthfeel. This is always my choice. Though every time, I think I will try something different next time. Today I went for the lunch menu. It was the tuna sashimi set, made a large serving by adding another tray of seiro. This is nice because you can enjoy various flavors. The seiro soba is chewy and delicious too.
