A long-established soba shop founded in the first year of Taisho. Spirited service.” The interior atmosphere is very nice. You instantly get a taste of the Showa era. The menu is extensive enough that you might struggle to choose unless you decide beforehand. I chose tenmori soba. The tempura was naturally crispy, and everything was delicious. There's an affiliated タイムズ parking lot nearby. You can get a discount voucher at checkout. The owner has a craftsman's temperament, a loud voice, and an energetic manner. Some people may not like that. He often goes into the kitchen and may not attend to arriving customers or come out promptly when called, so depending on the timing, you might get a bad impression. Naturally, there are no call buttons at the seats. On the other hand, he replies to posts with comments, showing an attentive side.

When I visited, there were no customers or staff, so I thought it wasn't open, but after a while an elderly man came out. I wanted nabeyaki udon, but he said there was no udon! So I ordered tamagotoji soba. The broth tastes only of soy sauce, in typical Kanto fashion. A shop with a Showa-era feel. No smoking at lunchtime.

It was New Year's Eve! We came to the local soba shop 大正庵 for some year-crossing soba… Expecting soba shops to be busy that day, our family left home aiming to arrive around 14. Tea and wet towels were brought right away, but we couldn't get our order in for quite a while. The restaurant was about 6 tenths full and appeared to be run by 2 people. Nobody came to the dining area, so we couldn't place our order. Since it was New Year's Eve, I was willing to overlook a little extra waiting. We ordered 2 rice bowls and tempura soba. Entered, 14. Ordered, 14:15. Food arrived, 14:50. Even on New Year's Eve, surely that's too long… (´- ̯-`)。。 As you can see in the photo, I had tempura soba! My first time trying this dish here. Shrimp and kisu fish tempura (I think…) were placed on top of the soba. As you can see, both tempura were submerged in the broth, which was a little different from what I'd imagined. The broth also tasted strongly of soy sauce. This is my personal opinion, but the service certainly wasn't praiseworthy. If we'd been properly attended to while waiting, I wouldn't have felt this way. I didn't find the tempura soba delicious. If I visit again, I'll get katsudon. My family's impression of the tendon was that it had 2 shrimp but a lot of batter, making it hard to finish toward the end. It was a shame to waste time during what was supposed to be a nice family lunch. Thank you for the meal.
