A few days ago I climbed Mt. Nokogiri in Chiba alone, and today I went to Mt. Mitake (929m) in Tokyo with a local friend⛰️ Speaking of mountains in Tokyo, Mt. Takao is famous, but this is also famous as an easy mountain to climb! Honestly, it's almost all by cable car🤣 We went by car to Takimoto Station (407m) halfway up, and from there took the cable car That way, we jumped straight to near the summit (831m)🚠 If I write it like this, it looks uninteresting, but actually, Mt. Mitake has the fun of hiking sideways from around this summit! Lots of highlights like "Rock Garden," "Tengu no Koshikake Sugi," "Nanayo no Taki," and "Ayahiro no Taki"! Especially to go to Nanayo no Taki, you have to go down quite a bit, so the point is that the hiking is quite hard😌 How hard? The friend who went with me aimed for Nanayo no Taki first, so their energy ran out, and after that, they couldn't climb and turned back haha Because it's full of nature and filled with phytoncides, the relaxation effect is there and it's the best👍 Well, on the way there, I stopped by an old restaurant and souvenir shop in the mountain village on Mt. Mitake! Filled my stomach properly at Senbonya, which is about a 10-minute walk from Mt. Mitake Cable Car Station What I ordered was mountain vegetable soba! Clear broth with plenty of mountain vegetables on top, the aroma rises! There are lots of nameko mushrooms, kamaboko, and mountain vegetables, the crunchy texture is irresistible🤤 Every time you chew, the aroma of soba spreads, that's also the best Soba eaten on a mountain is delicious Simple but deep taste, the green onion as a condiment is very effective, and the chopsticks kept moving! Volume just right for energy replenishment before climbing... wait, actually, I also ordered oshiruko haha That will be in another post! ✎️𓂃ᴍᴇɴᴜ ⧉ Mountain vegetable soba ¥900
View on Google[Famous shop with great value & good staff] Came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon (2 people). Since I wanted to eat well, I ordered Katsudon and Mountain Vegetable Soba. Although there is a common theory that food in tourist spots like this is expensive and not much, this shop's prices are reasonable, and above all, the quantity & taste are good! You can also use PayPay. The staff's personality is also wonderful. If the tea runs out, they bring it immediately, and the free appetizer is also delicious. I understand why many people give it a 5-star rating. I want to go again. If I had to mention a drawback, it's a bit cold inside the shop... (maybe it can't be helped due to the structure of the shop)
View on GoogleA shop attached to a souvenir shop in front of Mitake Shrine Although it's on a mountain, there are many inns. Provides shaved ice, soba, curry, etc. There was venison curry, so I tried it. Venison has no smell and you might not know it's deer if you aren't told. Curry eaten on a mountain is indeed delicious. The wasabi kombu (seaweed) and miso that came with it, which is a specialty of this area?, was delicious. Grateful that even in a place like this, you can use paypay
View on GoogleA souvenir and dining shop near Mitake Shrine. I ate deer curry (venison curry). It was quite spicy but delicious. You can choose tea or cold water, and it comes with pickles. The dining space is not very large.
View on GoogleThe shop owner's service is good, and they also serve delicious appetizers. The food itself is very delicious. You can use PayPay. But there is one problem. Maybe because there is also a souvenir shop, there is no door. The surrounding environment is rich in nature, and while eating, insects fly and wander around, sometimes I couldn't focus on eating. 😅
