We waited 55 minutes to get the first dish and still waiting for the remaining

KATSURA@Kabe Mori soba ¥900, kaki ten ¥1280 「KATSURA」is a quietly operating soba and sake restaurant roughly halfway between Ozaku Station and Kabe Station on the Ome Line. It's not too far to walk from home, but restaurants around here have parking, so this time I visited by car. The menu item that caught my attention was「kaki ten」❗️ Five satisfyingly substantial oysters❗️Also carrots, green peppers, eggplant, shiitake, and shimeji. Served with salt and tentsuyu. Each tempura piece had a thin coating, fried crisp and light, and the oysters were cooked perfectly, with a meltingly soft texture❗️ The mori soba paired smooth, firm noodles that seemed to be nihachi soba with a sharply defined savory dipping sauce❗️I diluted the sauce with thick, milky-white sobayu and gulped it down. It's about a 15-minute walk from either Kabe Station or Ozaku Station. But this soba restaurant is worth the trip. The exterior is so stylish you might think it's an Italian restaurant. They specialize in tsukesoba. We ordered duck broth tsukesoba and tomato tsukesoba, plus mushroom and vegetable tempura. The huge serving of tempura surprised us. There were 2 pieces each of shiitake, king oyster mushrooms, shimeji, green beans, carrots, bamboo shoots, zucchini, and eggplant. Since there were 2 of us, we were glad we could finish it all. The soba from Hakushu, Yamanashi, is stone-ground at the shop every day and freshly made, so it's very delicious. The noodles are thinly cut and go down smoothly. The broth for the duck broth tsukesoba was superb. However, there was no duck meat, only meatballs. At just 1000円, I suppose that's understandable. The thick sobayu was super delicious.

I found a delicious soba restaurant‼️We tried several places while out driving, but some had queues, and at another, the staff told us they had sold out as soon as we entered the parking lot. This was the last place we found💕It was our first visit, but we found a good place. It was delicious😁Thank you for the meal💕

Blown away by the exquisite duck broth🦆✨and crispy tempura🍤‼︎ I had「kamodashi special」「duck broth dipping soba」「mushroom and vegetable tempura」, plus 2 glasses of sake「青煌」🍶. First, the duck meat and tsukune in the「kamodashi special」were exquisite. The duck was moist and savory, while the tsukune was fragrant and juicy. Both paired perfectly with the broth, so delicious they made me sigh involuntarily. The seasoned egg was also memorable, cooked to just the right firmness. When split with chopsticks, the soft-cooked yolk flowed out. Its rich flavor filled my mouth—another flawless delight. The soba had a firm bite while going down very smoothly, with an exquisite balance against the dipping broth. Every bite let me enjoy the soba's aroma and texture. And the tempura! The mushroom and vegetable tempura had a thin coating that was crisp and light. The finish showed professional skill that's hard to recreate at home, really bringing out the ingredients' flavors. The pairing with 青煌 was also wonderful, enhancing the deliciousness of the food even further. Satisfaction was truly 100 out of 100. After enjoying food and sake of this quality, the bill was about ¥5,000. To enjoy something this delicious at this price…there's nothing to fault about the value either! A place I will definitely visit again, where carefully prepared dishes can be savored at leisure in a calm atmosphere.
