View on GoogleYou all probably know how important the noodles are in ramen. Here, the owner makes them by hand every morning. When chewy, flavorful noodles gently mingle with dried-sardine and pork stock and soy sauce, how could it possibly taste bad? This is a great shop. And the chashu is insane too. The tender yet salty chashu sends the already high quality through the roof. Service is quick, and the menu is extensive. It is reasonably priced and delicious too, so I would like to say there are no drawbacks, but the parking beside the shop is sized for kei cars, and the cold-water dispenser button inside is pretty worn out, so if no water comes out, try pressing the button harder and farther in. My recommendation is negi ramen.
View on GoogleHaguroya @ Ozaku Tanmen ¥800 Haguroya is about 1km from Ozaku Station. It is a neighborhood Chinese restaurant run by an elderly couple. I had long been curious about the “Local No.1 Tanmen” sign, so this was my first visit 🔰 The menu includes shoyu ramen ¥700, tanmen ¥800, and yakiniku rice with half ramen ¥950—remarkably cheap by today's lunch standards❗️ The tanmen, packed with napa cabbage and bean sprouts, has the fragrant flavor of lard used for stir-frying, light yet full of umami. The flat handmade noodles are cooked firm, chewy, and delicious❗️ I need to try the other dishes too… thanks for the meal 😋
View on GoogleA true Showa-era ramen shop‼️ My first visit in 31 years‼️ I had the hanchan ramen set. The ramen had a gentle, light soup and was delicious‼️ The chahan was strongly seasoned, but I really enjoyed it‼️
