I arrived after walking 15 minutes east from the third rest area. "First", "second", and so on refer to the order they appear in when you start walking from Ome Station. From the second to the first is close, only about 3 minutes. There's a gazebo, the area in front of it is open, and there's a big cedar tree.

If you stop by this rest area on your way to Yaguradai, be careful because there's a confusing path ahead. If you go right at the bench, toward the path with the open view, you'll end up heading toward the Ome Forest and away from the path to Yaguradai. The correct way is to go down the narrow path on the left at the bench, then turn right after descending the stairs.

The second rest area on the hiking course. You'll find it as you climb the course, but there's no view.

The first rest area is better, the view too!
