Climb a little way up the hiking course and there's a rest area shaped like a mushroom cap. The view here is good, and you can clearly see the scenery to the northeast.

You can get there in a few minutes from the Nagayama Hills hiking course entrance sign. From the course's forest road, you go up a few steps at the sign. There's a bench under a hexagonal umbrella-shaped roof with a pillar reminiscent of a shiitake mushroom. It was snowing when I went, so I can't say what the view is like m(_ _)m.

The last rest area on the Ome Hills hike, with a nice view. It became our final resting spot after a long stretch of continuous descents.

Since it's the first rest area, it's not at a very high spot, but it has a decent view. I visited in the evening, and the dusk scenery was very beautiful.
