Came to take a look at Lake Okutama and saw a nearby ramen shop near the mountains overlooking the lake on google maps, took a short bus ride and arrived here at Nonkiya. It was a very warm comfy place, seats overlooking the lake, and a decently wide selection of food and Drinks, ordered the Miso ramen Char Siew, the handmade ramen was amazing, both the noodles, broth were amazing. Gaijin from Singapore!

Super good! This restaurant is run by a family it’s nice little cozy place. Perfect to break up the journey to the mountains. They make noodles in the house and it’s a proper comfort food place. They have options for hot and cold noodle based soups (ramens and soba) we tried both and they were both very good. The gyozas were the best I had in Japan! 😊

I still don't get how Japanese rate their places in Google Maps, and why do great places are rated like a junky street food booth under a bridge 🤦🏻‍♂️. This restaurant is a purely local one, nicely decorated and with delicious food! Me and my friends all enjoyed all ordered meals, and the bill was surprisingly low.

Took awhile to get here, but it was worth the trip. Right across is a beautiful lake which made waiting for a parking worth it. The food is great and the environment is calming. Recommend coming here at least once or twice a year.

Cycled here from Okutama and enjoyed the homemade ramen. Miso better than soy, now for the ride home with a stomach full of ramen
