For visitors to Japan that like to ride motorcycles, the road from 411 to 139 is a great ride out in good weather. The whole area is picturesque with speed limits that allow you time to look at a few places...but beware! The reason the speeds are often only 30kph is due to the quantity of hairpin bends. Bring a picnic and drinks as convenience stores vanish after a while.

The mountain vegetables soba is great! My favourite place to stop to "refuel" when cycling around okutama!
