I absolutely loved the experience, the food was perfect and quite cheap. Furthermore the hospitality was incredible and the ambience + view was serene. If you are going to Oku-Tama, this place is a MUST visit.

In March 2026, while driving around Okutama toward a roadside station, I stopped here for a drive-in meal. The heater was on, but the place has glass walls, so it was just as freezing as outside! Still, the food was delicious. The zaru soba came on a small tray, but the handmade noodles were tasty. The sobayu had gone cold by the time I wanted it, which was a little disappointing. It might be good to say when ordering, “Could I have the sobayu once I've finished my zaru soba?” If you're heading to the roadside station farther ahead, its food is surprisingly pricey, so I'd recommend having a light lunch here first; you'll feel more satisfied. The only toilet is an outdoor pit toilet, so you're definitely better off using the clean toilets at the roadside station about 10 minutes from here( *´ω`* ) Thank you for the meal, Yakyutei! I'll be back.

Soba shop 01004 2026/4 Parking is fine either next door or across the road. I had katsudon ¥800★★★★* and ramen ¥500★★. Menu photos weren't allowed, so I won't post one, but I don't think it differs much from what's currently visible. For ¥800, the katsudon has a good balance of portion size and flavor. I debated having soba or ramen as another dish, but the ¥500 price caught my eye, so I chose ramen. Hmm, apart from the price, it wasn't really to my taste (personal opinion). Since it's a soba shop, I would've liked to try the soba too. There is an old toilet, but I don't recommend it.
