First of all, the moment I entered, there was a faint smell of something burnt the whole time. I was suspicious but sat down and ordered, and after a while, whether my nose got used to it or the smell went away, I stopped noticing it. As for the ramen, I'm not exactly a connoisseur, but the flavor was clearly weak. The noodles weren't so-called iekei noodles either, but medium-thick Chinese noodles like you'd buy at a supermarket, which surprised me. I did drink all the soup, but finished without tasting much of either the soy sauce or the tonkotsu. Partway through, a staff member started frying a huge amount of karaage, and that's when I realized the smell when I came in was the smell of old oil. When the smoke billowing from the oil drifted my way, my eyes stung painfully, and maybe the staff felt the same, since they opened the door and windows. Then a bit later, a boy who looked like an elementary schooler walked by out front and yelled, "What the heck, it stinks!", which was actually kind of funny. I went in knowing it didn't have a great reputation, so I don't mean to trash it, but if they improved a little, I'd want to come again.
View on GoogleNeither good nor bad. The spinach, a feature of iekei ramen, was tasty. If you asked whether I'd go again, I don't think I would.
View on GoogleThe staff are only foreigners, Indian? maybe. The shop smells like stationery glue; at that point I thought I'd made a mistake, but I'd already ordered so I put up with it. By the way, you order verbally, not with meal tickets. Around the time they started boiling the noodles, for some reason my eyes started stinging and the tears wouldn't stop. Irritation from detergent or disinfectant? At this point my anxiety was maxed out The spinach was good but the soup was bad, and the seasoned egg was dry and crumbly with a slight sourness. I was even scared to finish it, so I left more than half and walked out… The water cup still had spinach stuck to it, so it was dirty and I didn't touch it… I won't go again.
View on GoogleIt was the worst ramen I've ever had. The staff were three foreigners, Indian? maybe, and the service didn't bother me that much. The ramen soup was just a horribly bad-tasting broth that was merely hot, and the chashu tasted weird. The rice was watery; I ordered a medium rice but couldn't finish it. Rather than wasting money at this ramen shop, you're better off having amazing ramen at good ramen shops like Mizukaze or Taishoken. Don't be fooled by the impressive "Yokohama Iekei" sign alone.
View on GoogleOrdered the premium ramen and got pork belly ramen lol. When I asked about the chashu, the staff didn't understand Japanese either, said "manager" and handed me a LINE call, and I couldn't understand what that person was saying either lol Plus it just plain wasn't tasty, so I won't be back.
