My first time at this place. A large 鶏白湯ラーメン🍜 with rice for 900円. Hmm. The soup was disappointing😢 None of that distinctive character from simmered bones. It felt like having someone make the fresh ramen sold at a supermarket. The rice too… oh well. I wonder if the foreign staff are trying their best. I don’t eat out much, so it was disappointing.

The 味玉ラーメン was 990円. I went in because I wanted Iekei ramen. My impression was that it was far too ordinary. If you ask whether I’d go again, probably not.

A neighborhood ramen shop An Iekei ramen shop that opened recently Inside there are counter seats and tables The menu has various options For a start, I ordered a large 坦々ラーメン Large portions and rice are free, and you don’t have to choose one or the other—you can have both extra noodles and rice, so the service is good. There are various condiments too, including chopped onion and garlic. There are also various preference settings All the staff are Southeast Asian, and their broken Japanese is a little hard to understand, but their service was polite and clear. There was plenty of egg and meat too, and it was tasty.

Visited before 12時, and there was no line. Ordered 赤盛りラーメン(1,080円), a nori topping(140円), and bottled beer(500円). Ordinary Iekei ramen that was ordinarily tasty. But the chashu (or rather, kakuni?) was superb. Meltingly tender and good with rice too. I wish they’d use slightly better nori, though... Is diced onion as a free topping unusual outside the Shoten group? Personally, I’d be happier with pickles than onion. If I feel like Iekei in 田無, I might return.

An Iekei ramen chain restaurant The interior is clean, and the foreign staff’s service is polite too. When a blind customer came in, they carefully guided them to their seat. The ramen tastes good, and one bowl of rice was free too.
