It's crowded at lunchtime even on weekdays. You write your name and wait for your turn. It's a traditional soba restaurant. There's only one server, so don't expect much service、and payment is cash only.
View on GoogleThe prices are low. The staff are friendly (they suddenly strike up conversations). The soba dipping sauce and curry are salty. No dashi flavor, just plain 「salt」 saltiness. The soba has no bite and doesn't taste of soba. A shame, since the setting in front of the shrine has a nice atmosphere and the prices are fair (☆+1).
View on GoogleA soba restaurant right in front of Tanashi Shrine, with a memorable, atmospheric sign. The prices are fair, great value◎ I think the taste is average. The soba is thin and easy to eat. The set menus are a good deal^_^
View on GoogleI wanted lunch before visiting Tanashi Shrine, so I went into this restaurant I'd been curious about for a while. It was a chilly day with light rain, so I ordered nabeyaki udon. It was served piping hot and still bubbling, with a perfectly generous portion, and was very delicious. The staff were cheerful too, leaving a very good impression.
View on GoogleA soba restaurant right in front of Tanashi Shrine. Less than a 10-minute walk from Tanashi Station. There's parking for 2 cars beside the restaurant. I went in around 11:45 on a public holiday; both parking spaces were empty, and of about 8 tables inside, 2 were free. It seems to be run by an older married couple. The atmosphere inside is pleasant and relaxing. The menu is varied with plenty of choices. You can choose soba or udon, and there were combinations with rice bowls too. I chose mushroom soba. A large portion costs an extra 150円. Simple. It's a matter of preference, but personally I thought the soba was a little too soft.
