I had the kenchin udon for 650 yen. It was packed with ingredients, and the noodles were chewy and delicious. The shichimi and spicy condiment on the table were tasty too. Affordable and homey, yet delicious in a way you can't recreate at home. It's addictive.

In the Hibarigaoka north exit shopping district. This shop sells portions of Musashino udon and tempura out front. There's an eat-in space at the back where you can enjoy freshly boiled udon. I ordered “nikujiru udon,” a dipping-style udon. The glossy handmade noodles had a brownish hue, and the meat broth contained pork thigh and spinach. There was spinach on the small side plate too. The garnishes were green onion and myoga. Simple but pleasantly chewy and delicious. Perhaps I should have ordered a large portion. The meat broth was nicely seasoned too. Adding the all-purpose spicy condiment or sansho on the table makes a delicious change of flavor. From the tempura out front, I chose shrimp kakiage, chikuwa, and squid. They came with rock salt. The shrimp kakiage contained finely chopped shrimp, while the chikuwa had pickled red ginger mixed into its batter, giving it character. It would be perfect if they warmed them slightly before serving. Musashino udon made by the young man and boiled by his mother. I was satisfied.

This was my first visit. The shop sells portions of udon and tempura out front, but there's an eat-in space at the back where you can eat on the spot. There are only 2 tables, so I recommend aiming for a quiet time! I had the nikujiru udon with spring cabbage and was very satisfied with both the price and taste. The portion is a little small, so I recommend a large serving if you want a substantial meal!

I visited this udon shop in the shopping district near Hibarigaoka Station for lunch on a day off. There aren't that many seats inside, but the vast majority of customers get takeaway. The noodles are firm and delicious, and the tempura is very inexpensive, so I recommend this place.

The freshly boiled udon served in the eat-in area at the back was delicious and good value. You can choose tempura from the front of the shop as toppings.
