At 田無 Station, it's on the deck leading toward アスタ after you exit the ticket gates. Visited alone for a weekday lunch. They said, “Please help us by placing your order on your smartphone.” I was thinking that it's no problem for generations used to smartphones, but… then they also accepted a verbal order from the elderly customer who came in next, which warmed my heart. It's a chain serving pasta eaten with chopsticks, so there's nothing particularly noteworthy about the taste, but I like that the menu values seasonality. I also think it's good that it's directly connected to 田無 Station, with barrier-free access and no need to worry about the weather. The interior certainly isn't spacious, but it was bright and felt clean.

While I was still eating, they asked, “May I clear this?” and took it away. There was still soup and pasta left. Couldn't they see what was on the plates when they asked in the first place? It really felt like they wanted me to hurry up and leave, the service attitude was awful, and it was extremely unpleasant. It was a female staff member with light brown hair. I think she should learn more about customer service. It's disappointing because I love 五右衛門. Everyone, be careful with the staff here!

It's in エミオ, directly connected to 田無 Station. On the 2nd floor. There are also デニーズ, set-meal restaurants, standing sushi, and other places here. The interior is very cramped. Capacity is around 30 people, and the seats are tightly packed. We went as a pair and had a somewhat booth-like seat, but there was absolutely nowhere to put bags or coats. The neighboring seats across the aisle are very close too. Perhaps many customers come alone. For one person, it might actually be quite well equipped. There are no hand towels or paper napkins. The food is prepared relatively carefully, but the service side is weak.

This is the エミオ田無 branch of 『洋麺屋 五右衛門』, which opened in 渋谷 in 1976 as a creative pasta specialty restaurant. Its Japanese-born spaghetti made with authentic Italian ingredients became popular, and it now has 150 branches nationwide. This branch only opened in August 2023. It's located immediately outside the north exit of 「田無」 Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line, on the 2nd floor of the station shopping facility 「エミオ田無」. 「タリーズコーヒー 」, 「しんぱち食堂」, and other shops line the same floor. My wife and I visited for the first time just after 2pm on Saturday. It was full even at that hour. There was no queue outside, so we waited about 5 minutes. Inside, there are only table seats, around 30 in total. It's very busy, probably because it's in the station. We were shown to a table for two, and from the menu I ordered ○ カルボナーラ チリトマトソース ¥1,250 ○ メンズセット ¥400 ○ Salad ¥120 My wife ordered the たっぷり野菜のペペロンチーノ with the レディースセット from a female staff member. Incidentally, the メンズセット, as the name suggests, focuses on quantity: a large portion of pasta, soup, and a drink. The レディースセット includes salad, soup, and a drink. After a few minutes, the salad & soup arrived. The salad consists of shredded daikon with sesame seeds and leaves, topped with Japanese-style dressing. The soup is a Japanese-style dashi broth with 5-millimeter cubes of tofu. Light and delicious👏 Then, just over 5 minutes later, the pasta arrived. The pasta covered in tomato sauce was topped with tomatoes, shrimp, mozzarella cheese, and an egg yolk in the center. It looked so delicious. A distinctive feature of this restaurant is eating with chopsticks rather than a fork. Time to dig in! I broke the egg yolk and mixed it through everything. The freshly cooked al dente pasta was thoroughly coated in slightly spicy tomato sauce, with the mildness of the egg yolk added. This was delicious👏 The springy shrimp encountered along the way had a nice texture too, the rich mozzarella flavor spread through my mouth, and the tomatoes' acidity refreshed my palate. I finished the pasta in no time. Finally, I had the iced coffee included in the set. Thank you for the meal🙇‍♂️

You order using your smartphone. Recommended when you feel like casually eating pasta with chopsticks.
