Since the 29th is Meat Day, I went for a walk with my son to our neighborhood yakiniku restaurant（あみやき亭）. I remembered the pot-cooked rice being delicious on our previous visit, so we returned. The あみやき亭 website listed all-you-can-eat too, but apparently it's not available at the Tanashi branch. We had a large platter set and the limited-time Genkai Kalbi. They use charcoal grilling here, and the classic cuts—kalbi, loin, skirt steak, and tongue—were all tender and juicy. There are plenty of condiments too, and the fresh chili peppers were especially outstanding! The freshly pot-cooked rice (from Miyagi Prefecture) was glossy, with each grain distinct. Meat topped with fresh chili and garlic, eaten with the pot-cooked rice, was fantastic. What disappointed me was that condiments could only be ordered for the number of diners, and they started clearing the neighboring table while we were still eating, which was a little unpleasant. Some customers nearby apparently hadn't received their order, so they canceled it and left.. Thank you for the meal♪

It was disappointing to see the standard of service decline. The manager? An older man in black didn't even say 「welcome」 despite being at the register, and made loud clattering noises while clearing up. A young part-timer only half-closed the private room door, didn't knock when opening it, and didn't clear the dishes even though the restaurant wasn't busy. When asked, they cleared them looking put out. The chopsticks were also laid completely the wrong way around. I didn't think it was the young part-timer's fault; I felt they'd learned that way by watching their superiors. The toilets weren't properly cleaned either. All the food was tasty and appropriate for the price, but many items were sold out. My favorite spicy ramen had lukewarm broth and soggy noodles, which was disappointing.

I went for Saturday lunch. It's a yakiniku chain without all-you-can-eat. They also had lunch sets including rice and other items. The meat was typical chain-restaurant meat and seemed thin. It looks good for eating a lot cheaply. Each seating area is booth-like, keeping other tables' gazes and conversations out, which is really nice. The disappointing part was the grill. Under the grate are a little charcoal and a gas flame. Well, the charcoal seems mostly for show, but the flame kept going out. During a stay of about 1 hour, it went out more than 10 times. There were no lighting instructions, so at first I called a staff member each time and they apologized, but because it happened so often, they taught me how to light it. It doesn't have much impact, but it's a hassle. There were plenty of other empty seats, so I wished they'd let us use another one.

I've been coming to あみやき亭 in Tanashi for decades, but lately so many menu items are unavailable. It's only 20:00 and there's no meat, no side dishes either. I was satisfied under the previous managers, including the one who moved to (スエヒロ), and the manager afterward, but recently so many items sell out early that I have fewer occasions to invite friends or come with family, and other friends have said the same thing! The Tanashi branch used to have a good reputation, but lately it's not so good! The food is delicious and I'd like to come again, so please improve things!

Always delicious and thoroughly satisfying🙆 But the salad bar and cake bar aren't operating because of COVID, which is such a shame😢 Normally, with the delicious meat, extensive salad bar, and cake bar that delights the kids, it's ☆5😊 When you order bottled beer, they bring chilled glasses. That little extra effort makes me happy👍 The staff are lively and efficient too, and we had a fun family time✨ I'll go again🙋 Yes, I went again😋 Once again it was delicious, and we had a lovely meal without any stress☺️ So full😊
