The Aぇ! group YouTube feature 「利きたい焼き」 got me hooked on visiting taiyaki shops, and this finally became my 12th shop. I'd been curious for ages about the 「うふクリーム」 the members ate in the video, and finally managed to visit. It's about a 3-minute walk from 練馬 Station's west exit. With its chain-store-looking exterior and so many flavors, I honestly stopped by with mixed expectations, wondering, 「Are they competing on variety rather than taste?」 But it turned out to be unexpectedly delicious in a good way. ⸻ Here's what I had this time. ■うふクリーム（180円） The signature item also featured in the video. The first distinctive thing is the texture of the shell. It's a little different from the crispness of classic taiyaki, with a light, flaky crunch almost like pie pastry! The shell itself has a slight saltiness, which really brings out the richness of the thick custard cream. The light shell and rich, velvety cream go wonderfully together, and it was a new discovery even after all my taiyaki tasting trips. ⸻ My initial suspicion that 「They might be compensating with the number of flavors」 was completely overturned. I was thoroughly satisfied with the quality of the taiyaki itself. After visiting, I learned that 【たい焼き たい夢】 is apparently a chain with locations around Japan, although it doesn't have many shops. In 東京都, there is 1 other shop in 赤羽. It ranked among the tastiest of all the taiyaki shops I've visited! Next time I'm in 練馬, I'd like to try the other flavors too.

Cheap and delicious taiyaki😋 On dates containing 6, the pie taiyaki was 140円♡ When I bought 小倉, cream, and chocolate, they also put the trimmed edges of the taiyaki—the wings?—in the bag!✨ It was my first time trying them, and they were crunchy and tasty😋 They also have cold taiyaki, which I thought would be perfect for summer☀️Today was cloudy and windy and quite cold, so I was glad to have warm taiyaki♪

冷やしたい焼, 240円 including tax. After taking it home and chilling it again in the fridge, the red bean paste and whipped cream were even more delicious. Apparently chilling it in the freezer is an option too.

This is a taiyaki shop I love. The staff are kind too😊 The soy milk cream taiyaki is especially delicious, a flavor you won't find at other shops! They also often give you the trimmed crispy bits as a little extra😋

The 練馬 branch of a taiyaki chain, right near 練馬 Station along the tracks. They have 小倉あん, chocolate, custard, and so on. The 小倉餡 taiyaki has a crisp, fairly thin shell. The filling uses azuki beans from 北海道十勝, with little noticeable bean texture and a distinctly sweet finish. Somewhat soft and starchy. Packed with filling all the way to the tail. A slight oiliness lingers. They offer the trimmed wings from their multi-mold taiyaki as a free extra. Crisp and pleasantly firm-chewy, and delicious. 3.5
