I found this restaurant only a few days before I had to return to America, and I wish I had come here sooner. The fried rice was excellent and there was always a baseball game on. I felt taken care of.
View on Google2026.6.24 Another visit. The writing is small in the photo, but the opening hours are 6:00~21:00. Closed on Mondays. They open early in the morning and also have a morning-only item called 「すラーメン」. I have loved their miso ramen for ages and always order 味噌たいほうラーメン, but this time I tried tanmen for the first time. I ordered a highball, gyoza, and tanmen. As the weather is getting hot, the highball served in an ice-cold mug was fantastic. The gyoza were delicious, with chewy wrappers and a filling in which you could really taste the vegetables. Highball × gyoza is a great combination👍 The tanmen had perfectly stir-fried, crunchy vegetables and springy noodles that matched their texture wonderfully; the noodles were cooked perfectly too. The broth was very delicious, and the flavors came together beautifully overall. I regret not ordering a large portion. Haha It is near where I used to live, so next time I am in the area, perhaps I will have my usual 味噌たいほうラーメン🤔 It is an old-fashioned ramen shop with a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere. There appears to be parking for 1 car, so visiting by car is possible too.
View on GoogleAmid the tonkotsu shoyu trend, this is straightforward chuka soba! The dashi comes through and tastes good, but the soy sauce flavor was too strong for me. I would have preferred something a little lighter. A bit too rich! But the medium-thick? noodles are pleasantly firm and delicious! I give it 3 stars, but I think ramen shops of this kind are valuable.
View on GoogleIt is a ramen shop that looks like a neighborhood Chinese eatery. It is probably independently run. The owner's T-shirt says 3rd generation, and there is a poster celebrating the 30th anniversary inside... (The poster is old too...) I ordered soy sauce ramen for 700円 (a 100円 morning ramen discount) and a half portion of fried rice. The soy sauce ramen feels like old-fashioned chuka soba. Honestly, it is neither good nor bad, and has no distinctive features. The half portion of fried rice for 550円 is delicious. A simple fried rice with chopped chashu, egg, and green onion. Like the soy sauce ramen, it has nothing distinctive, yet it is tasty! I forgot to mention that the chashu here is roasted. (叉焼) While many places call their simmered pork chashu, this place actually roasts it, combining roasted fragrance with juiciness. Recommended if you want a taste of old-fashioned nostalgia. The shop is old, but properly cleaned and pleasant. If I visit again, as for the ramen... I will have fried rice.
View on GoogleI eat at most about 10 bowls of ramen a year. I am extremely sensitive to umami seasoning, which is one reason I avoided it, but in recent years I have started eating it much more often while still being careful. I even drop into 二郎-style places now and then.😅 That day, I somehow felt like a simple soy sauce ramen, so I visited this well-regarded shop in 武蔵関. An L-shaped counter, with tables in the back. 🟩たいほうらーめん (990円 including tax) A simple soy sauce ramen distinguished by minced meat. The seasoned egg is a fully hard-boiled egg. The noodles are curly and have a nice texture. 🟩Gyoza (605円 including tax) I would say they are quite tasty. 🟨Medium bottled beer (660円 including tax) Gyoza-beer! Gyoza and beer really go well together! They say 7,000? ramen shops open each year, and 70% of them disappear within 3 years. In the end, simple, old-fashioned ramen shops like this are the ones that last. The owner is elderly too, but I hope this shop keeps going.
