A shop that is difficult to reach. I suspect there are no customers other than local residents. Access is from Shakujii-koen Station by taking the Ogi 11 bus (jointly operated by Seibu/Kanto Bus) bound for Ogikubo, or the A 50 (Kanto Bus) bound for Asagaya, and getting off at the "Shimo-Shakujii Itchome" stop. It's about a 3-minute walk to the west. Of course, it is accessible from "Ogikubo" or "Asagaya" stations, but the bus from "Ogikubo" is jointly operated by two companies but runs at 30-minute intervals, and the ride from "Asagaya" takes a long time. Please be prepared as the bus will travel slowly through narrow roads, including the "Shimo-Igusa" station crossing that rarely opens. There is no owned or contracted parking, so you have to find a coin parking lot. Well, the prices on the menu, or rather the price list, were definitely photographed in June 2025. I find myself having unnecessary imaginations about how the owner makes a living, whether payments to suppliers are not delayed, or perhaps they own many rental properties so they are not financially troubled with such pricing. All the items served are exquisite works that feel the skill of a craftsman. I think this is beyond the imagination of those who like expensive shops favored by the Heisei generation, introduced by variety shows related to advertising agencies or internet information that seems to be played by advertising agencies as well. An endangered species, or rather, I am amazed they survived. A destroyer of historical context. Perfect for location shooting. Nearby roads are all narrow, so parking on the street is prohibited. After all, the bus street (old Waseda Street) is one of the most difficult spots in Tokyo with traffic controllers always present. Of course, the Loop 8 road is out of the question. I highly recommend you visit this landmark shop in Nerima-ku.

Meat and vegetable rice 900 yen It's a Machi-Chuka (town Chinese restaurant). The shop is exactly as it looks Not expensive, not cheap. Not delicious, not bad either.

A shop with an atmosphere as if you've traveled back to the Showa era. Fried rice, handmade gyoza, ramen, everything is delicious. And cheap. The black phone placed in the corner of the shop is still active. For those who want to taste Showa retro, please come!

As far as I know, this is a town Chinese restaurant that has been open for 40 years, but I don't remember ever entering, so this is my first comment. Chose the fried chicken set for ¥750- amidst almost no set menu options. It's already 12 o'clock but there's only 1 customer, bad feeling! "Due to staff shortages, please get your own water"?? I just thought normally water could be served. Regarding the most important food, starting from the pickles, the fried chicken is also soggy, the white rice is not delicious, so I feel disappointed. All the vegetable colors are bad so I'm a bit anxious.

Ramen 450 yen Today, I had the large ramen (550 yen). Old-fashioned ramen with a strong soy sauce flavor. It was delicious. The noodles were soft, so next time I will ask for them firm.
