When it comes to a legendary Showa-retro restaurant in Nerima Kasugacho, this has to be the one! “Meshi” is written in huge letters on the roof. A red vertical banner signals that it's open. This popular place closes when the rice runs out, usually around 13:00. Katsudon and oyakodon are absolute classics, and half portions are available. The curry rice is bright yellow and so generously sized that even our doctors struggle to finish it (^^) Above all, the flavor is classic, delicious Showa-era diner food! The yakiniku set with spaghetti underneath the meat is fantastic too!!! I hope the gentleman and lady keep going forever! From a nearby dentist.

The regulars were putting their used dishes on the table just in front of the kitchen, so I copied them and put mine there too. The small side of chilled tofu and pickles are delicious too. The daily cream stew set meal looks good too. Compared with the exterior, the inside is surprisingly spacious with 7 tables, but they don't seem to seat different parties together, so turnover may be slow when busy. There are 2 parking spaces, No.111,No112, in the monthly parking lot next door. 【Fried line-caught hirame】 The daily special is the fried hirame set meal. The light tartar sauce goes very well with the mild hirame. 【Mini mapo don and mini tanmen set】 Ordered a set meal of not-at-all-mini mapo don and half-size tanmen.
