Lovely 💘
View on GoogleWe suddenly decided to go out drinking, and I found this place in a hurried search. I had no information beforehand. We went in a little nervously. The restaurant is on the building's 2F. It has a bit of an authentic Chinese restaurant vibe, but the staff seemed to speak Japanese. Around 21:00 on Friday, it seemed about 70% full. First, we toasted with beer. For snacks, we had Taiwanese sausage and grilled lamb skewers. For dumplings, we tried an assortment of 4 kinds of pan-fried gyoza. There were 2 each of 4 kinds of pan-fried gyoza, just right for sharing. Vegetable, shiso, shrimp, and stamina garlic, if I remember correctly. Pretty good. We decided to try a little more and ordered 4 kinds of boiled dumplings too. The Spanish mackerel boiled dumplings, supposedly their specialty, had a light taste. Apparently the restaurant is famous for ビャンビャン麺, but we finished without trying it. They were playing C-POP rather than K-POP, which made it feel like a somewhat unusual space.
View on GoogleA Chinese restaurant where Chinese chatter flies back and forth between the staff and customers. For lunch I ordered 餃子… no, actually ビャンビャン麺(980円). The enormous bowl really surprised me, but it had the incredibly difficult kanji clearly written on it. . I asked them to tone down the heat, but… there were chili peppers in it, so it was still properly spicy! But distinctive spices like star anise also came through strongly, and it was delicious! A specialty of 西安, these wide, hand-stretched noodles are made without using a knife at all. They are thick and flat, with a distinctive chewy texture. There were loads of vegetables, and the meat was thoroughly infused with spices… it might be even tastier than I expected. . Lunch also comes with zha cai, cabbage, rice, and coffee. They made nice palate cleansers, and I was able to settle the bill without any lingering heat bothering me♪
View on GoogleI visited the authentic Chinese restaurant 「八鮮大連餃子」 near 練馬 Station for Sunday lunch. The stairs leading to the building's 2nd floor had eye-catching red signage, and I went in excited by the tucked-away atmosphere. It was peak time on a day off, but luckily I was shown straight to a seat without waiting. ### ■ Can't put the chopsticks down! Spectacular 「手打ち焼き餃子」 The first dish to arrive was the pan-fried gyoza, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. At a glance, you can see the beautiful handmade pleats and thick, chewy wrappers! The browned bottoms are crisp and fragrant, and one bite releases juicy, savory flavor from inside. They are generously sized and wonderfully satisfying. ### ■ Authentic flavors! 濃厚担々麺 & ビャンビャン麺 For the mains, I chose 「濃厚担々麺」 and 「ビャンビャン麺」, whose bowl has striking lettering. * **濃厚担々麺** A bowl beautifully topped with finely shredded scallions and chili threads. The soup has an exceptionally rich sesame flavor, and its moderate heat clings nicely to the thin noodles. * **ビャンビャン麺** Just like the striking kanji on the bowl, the stars are the substantial, wide, chewy noodles! Piled high with cabbage, bean sprouts, and big chunks of juicy meat, this was a thoroughly authentic bowl to mix with the sauce and dig into heartily. ### ■ Amazing value and a welcome promotion The lunch offerings really surprised me. There is a generous self-service setup with 「all-you-can-eat 2 kinds of Chinese namul」, 「coffee included」, and even 「unlimited rice refills」. The sign outside clearly advertised it too. That alone is great value, but this visit also fell within the local 「PayPay20% cashback promotion」 period. Getting my fill of authentic handmade Chinese food while keeping my wallet happy made for a perfect Sunday lunch. If you're near 練馬 Station and thinking, 「I want gyoza with genuinely delicious wrappers or authentic noodles!」, this is an excellent restaurant I would definitely recommend. **【Restaurant information】** * **Name**: 八鮮大連餃子 * **Access**: A short walk from 練馬 Station(豊玉北5丁目) * **Payment**: PayPay accepted(participating in promotions and the like)
View on Google◎麻辣烫(980円)+all-you-can-eat 2 kinds of Chinese namul+rice(first serving free, 200円 from the second serving onward) A deliciously spicy soup with 20 kinds of spices coats the slippery glass noodles. Packed with seafood, vegetables, and fish-paste products, it has loads of toppings and is really filling. Pour the remaining soup over the rice, top it with Chinese namul(搾菜), and shovel it in. Sooo good♡ Apparently the spices are traditional Chinese medicinal ingredients that are good for beauty, health, and nutrition, so I finished every last bit, including the soup♡ All this for 980円—what a bargain, absolutely awesome♪ I'll come again! Thanks for the meal.
