Everyone was so welcoming and kind!! Even though my family and I only knew a few Japanese phrases they still tried their best to communicate and make us feel welcome ❤️ The food was delicious and not expensive at all. Would definitely recommend and go again .

A kind of typical Ramen spot, with minimal seating, more a local eatery nothing geared towards tourists, so the price is excellent the food was above average.

Back yet again for lunch. Daily lunch special (mini chashu rice bowl + tonkotsu ramen + barako mentaiko) ¥700 The barako mentaiko was served straight out of a tube, which was a little disappointing. Extremely friendly and polite, though. Visited for lunch. Daily lunch special (mini pork, wood ear mushroom, and egg rice bowl + tonkotsu ramen) ¥650 including tax Simply too cheap. Good flavor and generous portions too. The noodles are a little overcooked, but requests for firmer noodles are also accepted 🉑. Disposable chopsticks and water are self-service at the table; paper napkins and toothpicks are available. Cash only.

Visited after a very long time. I found it hard to believe tonkotsu ramen still costs 500円 these days, so I went to check it out. Customers were already lining up before opening, and many seemed to be elderly. My companion ordered tonkotsu ramen and grilled gyoza, while I ordered a chuka soba and chashu rice bowl set. Many customers were ordering tonkotsu ramen. I used to visit Kyushu often and had plenty of opportunities to eat Kyushu ramen, so I thought the broth was thin and different from Hakata ramen. Still, I think it works as ramen. My chuka soba had little oil and was the old-fashioned kind. It apparently has a soy sauce base, but if all soy sauce ramen had been like this, I probably wouldn't have come to dislike it. The chashu rice bowl, however, was no good. The unpleasant chashu tasted as though it had been thawed badly, which loses points. The gyoza were also good for the price, but the vinegar tasted cheap, which loses points too. Still, for this price and flavor, perhaps it's within an acceptable range? The way the rice was cooked was very much to my liking too. Next time, perhaps a set meal or the tonkotsu ramen and half fried rice set. Apparently, noodle refills are only available for tonkotsu ramen, while other ramen only come with a large-portion option. I'd like to return soon.
