View on GoogleThere is a smell of rotting garbage from inside the shop. I had to wait nearly 5 minutes from entering until ordering. When I ordered the daily special posted at the storefront, I was suddenly told, 'We don't have it. Since you're ordering something we don't have, just go home.' I now understand why this Donmaru is empty, and after seeing the comment section, it all makes sense. I will never go again.
View on GoogleThe first Donmaru in Tokyo was so delicious and I loved it so much that I ate there many times... I bought from the Kamishakujii branch, but the tuna was discolored and smelly, the rice was dry and not tasty, the conger eel was bad, and the negitoro was mushy. I am just so disappointed.
View on GoogleUpdate 8/7/2025. When I asked, 'Do you have the marinated tuna and grated yam bowl?', they said 'No'. It wasn't there last time either. I ordered a seafood bowl. It was 755 yen, the price had gone up. There was a faint smell of rot inside the shop. The air conditioning wasn't working, so it was stuffy. I ordered a seafood bowl today, but the squid smelled a bit. I felt the quality of the tuna was worse than when I went last time. Since the quality and price no longer match, I don't think I'll go again. 10/1/2024 Tuna bowl 685 yen. It seems to be run by a grandfather who looks to be in his 90s. He is quite elderly, so his movements are slow. The exterior and interior are quite old, and upon entering the shop, I felt a bit uneasy about the hygiene. However, there were training and hygiene certificates, so I think there is no problem. I first ordered the marinated tuna and grated yam bowl, but since there was no grated yam today, I ordered a tuna bowl. It was takeout, so I was a little concerned that there was drip coming out of the tuna after I brought it home. However, there were plenty of toppings and the vinegared rice was the type I like, so I am personally satisfied. For the sake of the grandfather who is working hard on his own, I would like to try other menu items again.
View on GoogleWhen I ordered the salmon bowl for delivery, it was delicious, but when I ordered the Donmaru bowl for takeout, I was surprised at how bad it tasted... The negitoro, tuna, squid, and salmon all had an unpleasant smell and couldn't be eaten. Also, the smell inside the shop wasn't good either.
