Just 32 seats in tables of four. No background music and unusually plain walls. Nerima Wi-Fi available, but not secured and doesn't work well. Seems like a popular place, but that might be partly for the good location. Haven't had fried liver in a long time, but it was quite good. The rice was extra, but overall I'm still willing to call it a high four stars. And why am I still reviewing for Google Maps?
View on GoogleIt has the look of an upscale Chinese restaurant. But in reality, it's a friendly neighborhood Chinese diner. One bite of the reba-nira and gyoza🥟 and I noticed right away. It doesn't have the greasiness or overly strong flavors common at neighborhood Chinese diners. The seasoning is refined and just right, letting you properly taste the ingredients' natural flavors. For a moment I thought it might be Shanghai-style and checked the menu, but it wasn't. Finally, I slurped the ramen and couldn't help smiling. The nostalgic taste of Japanese chuka soba. Yes, this is the basic ideal of chuka soba — the taste that even that chain with its countless locations aims for. Delicious😋 The 1st floor has 8 tables seating 4 each. Even solo diners get seated at a 4-person table, looking a little awkward. Honestly, unless you go with 2 or more people, it feels a bit awkward (lol). The 2nd floor seems to be used mostly for banquets. A super popular place in front of the station. I'll be back to eat ramen🍜 again. Thank you for the meal. ⚠️Cash Only
View on GoogleWent in around 3 p.m. on a Saturday It wasn't that crowded. I ordered the niku soba, and the piping-hot thick sauce is great! The noodle portion is on the large side. I thought it'd be easier to order things like gyoza if they came in mini sizes~ The staff were attentive and brought water right away when I ran out.
View on GoogleThe rice is delicious! There's no lunch set or anything in particular; you order à la carte. I ordered the stir-fried egg and wood ear mushrooms (750 yen), one of the 4 recommended dishes, and rice (250 yen). It came with soup and pickles. The flavor is light and gentle and won't sit heavy on your stomach. Everything, pickles included, tasted carefully made, which left a good impression. Above all, the rice was moist, which is rare for Chinese food, and personally I found it really delicious. I've rarely thought the rice itself was delicious at a Chinese restaurant, so I was impressed. However, the ice water may have smelled a bit of chlorine. No wonder there are so many elderly customers. On the other hand, those wanting hearty Chinese food should take note. The portions are decent, so apart from the seasoning, I think it's totally fine for young people too. The interior feels very clean, and the tables are spaced apart, so you can relax. It feels a bit like an upscale Chinese restaurant. The Japanese staff are all calm and gentle. The female staff member in particular kept a good eye on everything, and hot tea arrived after the meal at just the right moment. Payment is cash only. The entrance is step-free, so wheelchairs and strollers seem fine too. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleHello, this was my first visit. The restaurant is clean and, perhaps because the flavors are gentle, there were many older customers, especially women. I finished the ramen down to the last drop of soup, and the gyoza had lots of meat, but the vegetables also had a real presence — delicious. I'll definitely be back.
