Good food and good price. Not so crowded and no need to wait but one of the best place to have tonkatsu in Tokyo

Everything is professionally made. One of the best tonkatsu restaurants in Tokyo.

[A restaurant that makes you feel the integrity of a good eatery] Tried the premium loin katsu set meal. As a tonkatsu set meal, its overall quality is high. First, napa cabbage pickles and well-pickled nukazuke come out. Then the crisply fried tonkatsu is very easy to eat. They use good oil, the batter is firm and crisp, and above all it doesn't sit heavy in your stomach—it's not greasy and easy to eat! The balance with the fat is nice too. Also, the red miso soup has shijimi clams in it! You can feel their thoughtfulness in places you wouldn't notice. The unfortunate part is that the sauce and salt are probably commercial products from major manufacturers. It would have been even better with rock salt, their own sauce, or a dressing for the cabbage.

The tonkatsu isn't particularly thick or big, but the batter and the moist cutlet have a unique deliciousness and umami that's kind of addictive. Wolfing it down with rice is great! If you eat the soba too, even a fairly big eater like me gets reasonably full. Inside, it's roomier than the exterior suggests; the counter felt a bit cramped, but there's also a tatami/goza area, and the whole interior has a woody feel that's cozy. Going to the nearby Matsunoya for value and coming here when I get tired of it—that cycle works pretty well. Actually, I was surprised (and it's convenient) that they accept all kinds of payment methods, including e-money, which I didn't expect from this kind of place

Near Nogata Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line On the road along the tracks There's a tonkatsu shop I heard you could eat authentic Ishigaki Island Yaeyama soba in a set with tonkatsu, so I paid a visit Right after they opened in the evening, I went in just after 5 PM Of course my order was the Yaeyama soba set A great-value set where you can enjoy both Okinawa soba and tonkatsu After ordering, I waited a few minutes and the long-awaited Yaeyama soba set arrived! First, the soba I took a bite The dashi in the soup really comes through truly the taste of Ishigaki soba♪😋 And then, the tonkatsu When she brought it over the okami-san said Today's is a big 'size', so.... Apparently she was worried that the meat was thin👀 It is indeed on the thin side, but since it's wide it looks big🤗 As for how it tasted, it was tender, a delicious tonkatsu There was a solid helping of rice🍚 too Eating a tonkatsu set meal and Yaeyama soba at the same time fills you right up✨ It was a delightful set♪🥳
