Delicious
View on GoogleLarge lunch 1200円. The shop at Nakano Station's south exit is the main branch, but the owner is here. Apparently they ran 7 shops at their peak, but now it seems there are only 2: this one and the Nakano main branch. These days, this lunch with chawanmushi and salad included is a great deal for 1200円. The sushi was generous and delicious too. The salad seasoning was thoughtfully done, which was nice. Personally, the chawanmushi was a bit too sweet. Also, it's a shame the food was a little slow to arrive! Lunch set is 1200 yen. View on GoogleA shop near Yakushi, with a bright interior and welcoming entrance. The sushi has a lot of rice, but the portions are very filling. However, the soy sauce on the table was old and had lots of sediment-like bits floating in it, which made me feel sick. I'd recommend the counter, where customer turnover is faster.
View on GoogleI'd been curious since seeing the lunch menu displayed outside, and this time I had the chance to visit. The sushi set here was 2000円, with large toppings and large portions of rice, so this alone filled me up haha It's bigger than it looks, so I think men would be plenty satisfied too! The simmered dish and soup, complimentary perhaps?, had such comforting flavors and were so delicious I wanted seconds of everything. Haha If you drink sake or shochu, I think you'll have plenty to enjoy too, so do visit again to see the warmhearted owner!
View on GoogleThe address is Kamitakada 2-chome. It's a sushi shop near Arai Yakushi Baishoin. I ordered a large nigiri sushi serving. First, the fan-shaped plate is unique. With sea bream head-and-bone soup, chawanmushi, and salad included, it's surprisingly complete. The toppings are large, and each piece is satisfying. The large serving has nine nigiri pieces and one roll. I was happy to have toro, ark shell, and house-prepared anago. The himokyu roll is great too. The chawanmushi is firm, just the type I like. The sea bream head-and-bone soup tastes good too. I'm in the camp that doesn't need salad with sushi, but I gratefully ate it. All this for exactly one thousand yen is too cheap however you look at it. A return visit is inevitable.
