Visited on the evening of December 6, 2025 A Chinese restaurant on the road along the tracks, north of Higashi-Nakano Station. I came here with my family for my birthday dinner that day, and we sat at a table at the back. There's a friendly Chinese mom and her son? I've been coming now and then for 20 years? It feels homey, the food is reasonably priced and really delicious, and we had a lovely time chatting leisurely over various dishes.

But this time I ordered the happosai set for the first time, and because of ① a freezer smell from the seafood (shrimp and squid) and ② a rotten-like smell from the egg soup, I couldn't finish my meal for the first time… Worried about getting an upset stomach, I took a photo of the half-finished egg soup and asked for a receipt just in case before leaving. (In the end, my stomach was fine.) When I had the gomoku yakisoba a few months ago, everything was delicious and I finished it all. Since this was a favorite restaurant, it was especially disappointing. I might not go again..
View on GoogleA neighborhood Chinese restaurant where you can casually enjoy good food. I mostly visit on weekends, but I also often drop in when I suddenly feel like Chinese food. I've tried the set meals, noodles, rice dishes, dim sum, individual dishes, and more, and have never been dissatisfied with any of them. Personally, I find them delicious. Of course the restaurant has its own style, but nothing strays from what you'd imagine Chinese food to be. My recommendations are the shrimp and crab fried rice, seafood fried rice vermicelli, green onion noodles, and pan-fried wontons. The sweet-and-sour pork has a strong ketchup flavor, so it will be different if you're expecting a black-vinegar version. The restaurant is broadly divided into front and back areas, with smoking allowed in the back. There is also a table with a rotating tray in the front, which can seat around 8 people. No counter; all seating is at tables. The entrance is accessible only by stairs, and the door isn't large, so I think visiting in a wheelchair would be difficult.
View on GoogleI wandered in on a whim. Since it was my first time, I played it safe and tried the beef stir-fried with garlic chives and bean sprouts. Both the seasoning and the cooking were perfectly tasty. I'd like to try the noodles next time.
View on GoogleChinese food. An old-fashioned neighborhood Chinese restaurant. On the 1st floor? 2nd floor? along the road running parallel to the tracks at Higashi-Nakano Station. The restaurant is up some stairs partway along a slope. The entrance is narrow, but the interior stretches a long way back. 5-6 tables seating 4-6 people. Order after sitting down and pay when leaving. Payment at the table is possible. ※※※※※ Visited around 18:30 on a day off. Nearly full, but I got a seat right away. The male-to-female ratio was 7:3, with more men. Mostly groups, and the age range skewed older. Ordered hiyashi chuka, gyoza, and salt-seasoned stir-fried celery and shrimp. Generally generous portions. Light seasoning. There's a cook who's exceptionally good at preparing shrimp. The rough-and-ready service typical of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant might not suit sensitive people. The entrance stairs are unavoidable, so it could be tough for wheelchair users.
