Accidentally spent Christmas Eve here. Couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Food, drink, and service were fantastic. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this was worth it.
View on GoogleWhether you’re a tourist or a native Tokyoite, it’s worth going out of your way to visit this utterly charming local spot—which provided my girlfriend and me such a delightful evening that I’ve gone out of my way to write my very first Google review expressly in praise of it. Ringo’s has every little Western detail down to perfection, such that you will feel transported to a (much more affordable) version of Disney, with all the uplifting vibes. While that makes it potentially enjoyable for kids, the western theme is mature and lacking in any silly kitsch, so it is more appropriate for adults—a fun date, a gathering of friends or drinking buddies, etc. To that end, the drinks and food are cheap but genuinely delicious! We shared a Cobb salad, penne gratin and ナポリタン pasta, capping it off with an apple (that is “ringo”/りんご) tart. All dishes were abundant in proteins (a true rarity in Japan as owners usually skimp to reduce cost) and thoughtfully prepared. On that note, the owner also seems to be a tea aficionado, with changing seasonal offerings. I had a new herbal tea from Fortnum and Mason’s King Charles III “Coronation” collection, which was excellent. Lastly, sometimes small establishments like this can be a little on the unkempt side, but Ringo’s is spotlessly clean, including the facilities. I passed this spot regularly for 6 years before finally giving it a try—and with great regret, as I’ll now be a dedicated regular.
View on GoogleFantastic food in a great saloon style restaurant. There’s a wide range of food from omurice to jambalaya. Would highly recommend their burger, by far the best burger I’ve had in Tokyo!
