It's a small shop, but with its cheerful lady owner and inexpensive, delicious menu, it's like a "candy shop for adults." Besides monja, you can also enjoy cooking your own takoyaki. Instructions are written at each table, but the staff will teach you too. Smoking is allowed if there are no children, but since the shop is small, be mindful of those around you when smoking.
View on GoogleA restaurant where you can eat Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. It's very small, so it fills up quickly. I lined up before it opened. The menu includes Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, Kansai-style okonomiyaki, monja, and more. It was very delicious.
View on GoogleAn okonomiyaki restaurant in 野方. I visited to get takeaway okonomiyaki to eat at home. The interior, visible from outside, was extremely crowded. The takeaway okonomiyaki options were 広島風肉玉そば and 関西風ぶた玉. There was also オムそば. I chose 関西風ぶた玉 and オムそば. I paid with PayPay and benefited from 中野区's 20% cashback. After getting home, I warmed them briefly in a frying pan before eating. The 関西風ぶた玉 had a nicely balanced flavor that wasn't too strong, and the オムそば was well coated in sauce and delicious too.
View on GoogleMaybe about a 3-minute walk from 野方駅. An independently run okonomiyaki restaurant. I'm not really sure when it's closed. It kept happening that whenever I thought of going, it happened to be closed... And finally, I visited. Something I saw for the first time was… Would you believe it! There's even a takoyaki cooking plate built into the griddle! So cool! It would probably be fun to bring kids! I had Osaka-style okonomiyaki. The batter was loose and wouldn't cook up crisp, but… Is that how Osaka-style is supposed to be? Actually, that was a first for me too.
View on GoogleTruly Showa-era okonomiyaki! The shop has a nice feel, the service is good, and the food tastes great! Starting with monjayaki, we enjoyed Hiroshima-style and Kansai-style okonomiyaki! Savoring tasty food in a fun space! It was 2 hours of bliss. They also have snacks to go with drinks, so I'd recommend this place to drink lovers too! Definitely coming back!
