【Planning to return】 It was relaunched as 『ご飯処大村庵』 in 2025年9月. The menu currently centers on rice bowls. I've visited about 6 times since the relaunch. My impression is that even the “regular serving” is large, and they're very generous. It's reasonably priced and tastes good too. They properly make their own dashi for cooking, and the seasoning is light. They're particular about ingredients too, with plenty of vegetables, making the food gentle on the body and healthy. It feels thoroughly homemade rather than retort-packaged or frozen. First visit→『きのこ丼』 with a small side dish & miso soup→900円 including tax. Plenty of toppings and healthy. I think it's suitable for dieting too. On my 2nd visit, 『和風カレー』 with a small side dish & miso soup→950円 including tax. The curry is gluten-free, with lots of vegetables, and healthy. It has that unmistakable homemade taste of Mom's cooking. You can tell the difference from a chain restaurant with the first bite. You don't notice the heat on the first bite, but after a little while it gradually builds, bringing out a little sweat. I'd call it medium-hot for adults. There are generous amounts of both toppings and rice, leaving you full and satisfied. I think it's good value. I had curry on my 3rd visit too. On the 4th, I had bamboo shoot rice, which also tasted good. The 5th was curry again. Since the curry here is gluten-free, it doesn't feel heavy on the stomach at all. It's nutritionally balanced, and you can feel your body appreciating it from within. The gluten-free curry is full of ingredients, healthy, and recommended. ★There are many menu options, so I plan to try others too. The service is good, so I'll return

I sometimes had their delivery back in the Showa era, so feeling nostalgic after the new opening, I went in. It used to be a soba restaurant, but after rebuilding and reopening, it seems to have become a rice bowl restaurant with no soba. This time I tried curry don. It was soba-shop-style curry, with plenty of pork, and delicious. The miso soup full of ingredients and the pickles were good too. Next time I plan to try oyakodon or the mushroom rice bowl.

This is 『ごはん処 大村庵』, relaunched on 2025年9月1日 after the much-lamented closure of the long-established soba restaurant 「大村庵」, which had been in business for 65 years. The location is unchanged, about a 7-minute walk from Exit A2 of Tokyo Metro 中野坂上駅. About a 10-minute walk from Exit A3 of JR 東中野駅. It's along 大久保通り. First visit with colleagues around 12時半 on a weekday. Upon entering, it seemed payment was required upfront at the register. Despite being 大村庵, soba had completely disappeared from the menu. Feeling a tremendous sense of incongruity, I ordered ○ Pork rice bowl ¥1,000 . The interior has a clean, predominantly white feel. There are 12 individual table-and-chair seats facing the walls, divided between the left and right sides. No tables for groups. Cold water is self-service. Soon after I sat down, the proprietress brought the food. Even the regular pork rice bowl has a substantial amount of rice. The pork seems thoroughly simmered with onions, with seasoning much like gyudon. Breaking and mixing in the onsen egg sitting in the center makes the flavor even mellower and delicious! The pickles on a separate plate refresh your mouth after the fatty meat. The miso soup has plenty of ingredients and is delicious too. I finished everything in no time. Thank you for the meal❗️

☑️PayPay accepted at the counter☑️Payment upfront☑️Two opening sessions, 11:00&17:00☑️Closed Thursdays☑️Wednesday lunch session only☑️2-person operation ①Ordered curry don for 950円 It's curry don, but it has a Japanese feel... I was also curious about the Japanese-style curry rice and seasoned rice set meal💧 It tastes homemade, delicious in a way your body appreciates. Eating Koshihikari from 長岡 with curry... I felt it was a bit of a waste. But the rice was delicious even soaked in curry (plenty of roux), enough to erase that concern💮 A place where my next order is definitely the mushroom rice bowl🍄‍🟫

「大村庵」 in 中野 is a warm diner that truly makes you long for “Mom's cooking.” This time, 3 of us visited. I ordered oyakodon, while my friends ordered the mushroom rice bowl and a large pork rice bowl. The food arrives a little slowly, but you can feel the care that goes into each dish. The oyakodon has gentle, light seasoning that lets you clearly taste the ingredients' umami, with a somewhat nostalgic flavor. The accompanying miso soup and small side dish feel homemade too, putting your heart at ease. The interior has a calm atmosphere, and the proprietress's gentle, warm service left an impression. It's a place that gives you the reassuring feeling of returning to your family home. Though not flashy, the sincere flavors and personality are soothing—a place truly loved by the neighborhood.
