肉汁餃子のダンダダン 中野北口店Nikuju Gyoza No Dandadan Nakano Kitaguchi Mise
Craving gyoza = "Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan"! With the concept "Gyoza and beer are culture.", besides "culture drinking" enjoying gyoza and beer together, you can also enjoy lunch, dinner set meals, takeout bento and à la carte dishes, and delivery! Our signature product is the "Juicy Pan-Fried Gyoza," developed over more than a year in pursuit of the ideal gyoza. The filling uses carefully selected ingredients kneaded thoroughly until their umami multiplies, and is hand-wrapped in our homemade skins. Its hallmark is the abundant meat juice that overflows from the meat-packed filling, making it a superb dish that goes perfectly with rice or as a snack with beer. Dandadan's proud juicy gyoza, without dipping in anything…

Food was ok and service was fine. The biggest issue we had was one of principle - we were offered an English menu that had a set meal offer of 2200 yen for three items. After ordering two set meals, out of interest we calculated how much we’d be saving vs. ordering à la carte and were surprised to find that we were actually paying 600-ish yen extra vs. ordering à la carte (on the Japanese only menu). We challenged a member of staff on this he initially denied it, before calculating the sum in front of us and agreeing with us. 600 yen is probably not going to break the bank for English speaking tourists in Tokyo, but at best this is a poor oversight and at worst it’s dishonest rent extraction from tourists - this would be the first and only example (so far) of dishonest business practice towards consumers we’ve seen in Japan so far. I would urge the restaurant to amend or discontinue this menu. Note: the most expensive combination of items ordered à la carte would result in a saving of 33 yen if ordered from the set menu - any cheaper combination would lead to the restaurant overcharging.
View on GoogleVery nice izakya. Gyoza dumpling is very juicy. Love the tofu and the cold tomato. It surprisingly very nice. They serve a big menu of horse sashimi. The highball there are reasonable priced and lots of food choice. Excellent service by the lady staffs. So polite, helpful and can see she is smiling so happily even behind her mask. The place is pretty cramped good for chill chill and simple dinner.
View on GoogleIf you want to gyoze in some gyozas, then gyoze this a gyo. The gyoza was simply divine, the waitress had very tall platform shoes and this made the gyoza somehow more gyozacious. Thanks for reading, bye now 🥟. Check my eBay for familymart socks which I will be reselling in the Uk. Gyoza
