Closed on Monday nights except public holidays. ________ 「百年麺工房 中野大成」, which celebrated its 108th founding anniversary on 2025年10月3日—the directly operated flagship of 大成食品株式会社. This spring marked its 24th anniversary since opening. We specialize in tsukesoba and ramen, combining special noodles carefully made by veteran noodle-making professionals with a rich chicken, tonkotsu, and seafood soup simmered from carefully selected ingredients for over ten hours. Our most popular dish is 特製つけそば, loaded with firm, juicy chashu, seasoned eggs praised by the Ramen King, and pleasantly crisp menma. Please also try our ramen fragrant with Japanese dashi, seasonal limited noodles, and chashu rice bowls. All noodle dishes cost the same for regular through large portions. つけそば、らーめん、…

It is a very family friendly place and very patient staff for foreigners. Come and enjoy that's all I got to say.

Delicios, hearty ramen in an authentic place where you can eat with locals.

Visited on the evening of a public holiday. Luckily, I got in smoothly without queuing. I ordered a medium serving of 特製つけそば. The slippery, firm, thick noodles picked up the rich, savory soup beautifully, and I couldn't put my chopsticks down! Combined with the luxurious toppings of the special version, it was wonderfully filling and made for a thoroughly satisfying bowl on a holiday evening.

「I feel the taste has declined」 I don't mean that times have changed or anything like that. I'm from 中野, and I've been coming to this restaurant for nearly 20 years. For people who liked this place, the staff's hospitality and the table and tatami seating made it comfortable whether you came 「with family」 or 「with friends」. Even 「alone」, you could take your time eating at the counter. That was the kind of place it was. On top of that, you could always enjoy soup that made the most of seafood and tonkotsu, along with the delicious noodles you'd expect from a restaurant run directly by a noodle maker. So I think being 「loved by locals」+a place you could 「recommend as a hidden gem」 to people who didn't know it was a quiet source of local pride, and part of its appeal to people working nearby. Of course, the taste usually didn't change that much either. But over roughly the past 3 years, something about the atmosphere between the front-of-house staff and the people cooking has seemed out of sync, and I feel it's becoming a place where you simply eat and leave. Usually at lunch and in the evening on weekends, families alone form a queue before opening. But on this visit, even though it was Saturday, I was surprised by how sparsely occupied it was. The interior, which used to feel bright, also seemed darker than usual. 「Solo diners, couples, and families alike」 should have been able to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere and solid tsukemen and ramen that were better than merely decent. Yet on my recent visit, I wondered why even the 「taste」 seemed to have changed. I don't know what's happening inside the restaurant. But during that visit, I definitely felt that something built up over decades had changed. I don't know. Sorry this is such an impressionistic review. But I posted it because I feel people who have loved this place for a long time might understand.
