This 5 star is based purely on food and service. I always prefer a place that has a variety of wine by the glass. However, there single glass selection wasn't bad. They have plenty of wine by the bottle. App (actually ordered it twice it was so good) was tomato, mozzarella and pesto...AMAZING! Rigatoni for main...best I've ever had bar none. I've traveled the world and had pasta in every corner. This little hole in the wall, single chef, back alley place was a gem of a find. I contemplated not going in because of no English menu. I decided what the hell... Thanks to Google translate. If you are in the Higashi Nakano area of Tokyo give it a whirl. This one was memorable for me.

Went with my wife before 14:00 on Saturday. At that hour some places were open and others weren't, and it looked like we could still get lunch, so we went in. Even then, there were probably about 5 groups of customers. I ordered the squid ink pasta set, and my wife the prosciutto and fava bean genovese set🍝 Being fresh pasta, it was chewy, nicely portioned, and super delicious😋 We stayed until around 14:30, and they were friendly even at checkout. It's not that big, but the cooking felt careful—good👌

We found it while walking and wondering what to do for dinner with my partner. We happened to be talking about Italian food, so we casually went in🇮🇹 It turned out to be absolutely the right choice. Every dish was delicious. Being Italian, we'd have liked wine with it... but neither of us is much of a drinker, so cocktails it was, with apologies…. ・ピーチウーロン (reliably delicious) ・生ピーチオレンジ (light on peach flavor, but with fresh orange and fizz, delicious) Those were our drinks. Ordering drinks first seems to make things smoother. (The staff asked about drinks first.)
