Good. The balance of dried sardines + pork bones is right, and it's not trying to be gimmicky, so it's the sort of ramen shop you can keep coming back to. Personally, I find the gyoza delicious. Criticism. The spicy miso tastes too strong, so I don't think it's needed. Ground chili pepper should be enough.
View on GoogleThe soy sauce and miso flavors are delicious. Is it because it's 倉敷? I don't know much about ramen, but even though we dropped in as a family, we were warmly welcomed. There's 1 table for 4 people, with the rest being fairly high counter seating, so visiting with children may depend on timing. I had the soy sauce ramen, which was nice and light. Personally, I thought the fried rice had a subtly Japanese flavor and was quite tasty. The spicy miso that came with the tsukemen was very good. Dissolving it into the soy sauce ramen really sharpened up the flavor. Perhaps it's a famous shop in 倉敷, but I'm not very familiar with it, so I wonder how long it can hold on in this location with such frequent turnover... The flavor is quite suited to everyday eating, so I hope they do well.
View on GoogleA little over a 5 minute walk from 新井薬師前駅, this shop advertising “倉敷ラーメン” opened at the end of 2017 in a cursed location where countless ramen shops have opened and closed. This location has a track record of 4 ramen shops closing in 5 years, yet each time another ramen shop promptly moves into the fitted-out premises, continuing this unwinnable game. Apparently this shop's main location is in 倉敷, and this one is a branch. It's not a nationwide chain; this seems to be their 2nd shop, so I feel they needn't have deliberately chosen such an unlucky location, but perhaps that makes the rent cheap. “倉敷ラーメン” doesn't bring much to mind, but apparently it just uses ingredients from 倉敷, rather than being a style commonly eaten there. I had the soy sauce ramen for 630円 including tax: clear pork bone broth with a sweet, strong soy sauce seasoning and a sprinkling of pork back fat. It feels like an 岡山 + 尾道 hybrid. That matches their geographical relationship too, so it makes some sense. For this price, it's not merely decent but quite excellent. Whether that alone can stand up to this location's curse remains unknown.
View on GoogleThe soup was light compared with how it looked. It was delicious😄. There was also kombu as a topping, which I think may have been used to make the broth. I think it's nice that they don't waste ingredients👍.
View on GoogleI'd been curious about this shop for a while and visited for the first time today. They said the dried sardine ramen was the most popular, but I ordered the soy sauce ramen and gyoza lunch set. It has a slightly sweet soup with thin, straight noodles, but you can ask to switch to medium-thick noodles. Next time I'd like to try their most popular dried sardine ramen. Thank you for the meal.
