Super cool set menu restaurant with a retro style, the master is very kind and even with my small amount of Japanese, we were able to have a conversation and share a laugh. Highly recommend the kaki fry and chicken katsu. Such a great atmosphere here, will definitely return on my next trip!

I went to 伊賀食堂 and had the pork tempura set meal. It's a diner with a calm atmosphere that feels characteristic of 中野, welcoming even on a first visit, with a reassuring air. The pork tempura was served freshly fried, with a light, crisp coating and very tender, juicy pork inside. Here, you eat the pork tempura with soy sauce rather than tempura dipping sauce, and this brings out the pork's umami more directly. Without unnecessary sweetness, the simplicity lets the quality of the ingredients shine, and I kept reaching for more rice. The side dishes and miso soup were carefully made too, making for a well-balanced, satisfying set meal. It's not flashy, but the dependable flavor makes you want to come regularly, and it's perfect when you want a substantial meal. I'd like to visit again when I want a delicious set meal in a calm setting in 中野.

I wanted lunch near home, and this place happened to come up, so I gave it a try! It seemed like an elderly man was running it all by himself, and it was very peaceful. The customers looked like people who lived nearby, giving me the impression of a place loved by locals. I ordered the hamburg steak set meal! Seeing him cooking in the back warmed my heart👴 It made me feel that care matters even in simple cooking. It was very delicious!! The interior wasn't exactly beautiful, but I had an indescribably warm time, like eating at my grandfather's house😊 The very kind, constantly smiling elderly man warmed my heart even more😂 I'll be back to eat again!!

Visited on 2022年8月28日. A set-meal diner that retains a Showa atmosphere. You couldn't call it clean even as a compliment, but it has a certain charm for people who like old-fashioned diners. I asked them to make the à la carte pork sauté into a set meal, and was surprised when it came out much thicker than I'd imagined. Substantial and definitely the right choice😆 The hamburg steak is the soft kind too, and it's delicious eaten with the runny fried egg. The sauce tasted sort of soy-sauce-like? Anyway, it was a familiar, delicious flavor. The owner is quite elderly, which worries me, but I'd like to eat here again while he's still healthy and keeping the place going.
