A shop with a delivery motorcycle parked at the entrance is a sign that it's rooted in the neighborhood. It had character even before I stepped through the noren. I can't get enough of places like this. I ordered a simple kake soba. The dashi wasn't overly strong just because this is Kanto; it had depth of flavor while still being something I could comfortably drink to the last drop. The soba also combined beautifully with the dashi and was very delicious. I forgot to take tasting notes, so it's frustrating that this is as far as I can describe it.
View on GoogleThere are 2 tables in the raised seating area and 3 regular tables… an old-fashioned neighborhood soba shop. A nice feel. The soba is pale and beautiful. I thought it might be sarashina-style, but apparently it's san-shichi soba rather than nihachi. Both noodles and sauce are homemade. The higher proportion of wheat flour makes it smooth (but the soba aroma… is a little faint, with no graininess from buckwheat flour). Rather than acting like an Edo local and dipping it just a tiny bit into the sauce… it's better to dip it generously. The dipping sauce is rich, with a strong bonito flavor. The menu is extensive, and I'd like to try various things. As the sign outside says, rice bowls come with a complimentary mini soba. Next time I'll try that side of the menu too. It's a shop loved by the neighborhood. This time I had omori soba… so I'll eat something else and report back.
View on GoogleI found delicious neighborhood soba at the north exit of 鷺ノ宮 Station! This neighborhood's main street is only a few hundred meters long… in fact, the stretch along the tracks ends after about the length of 2 train cars, and this shop sits right there. I went to slide the door open… oh, it's automatic. There are 3 regular tables and 2 in the raised seating area. It's run by a couple roughly one zodiac cycle older than me. While I waited, another customer's tempura soba passed by with a crackling sound, followed by tanuki soba spreading its aroma. I had a feeling this was definitely a delicious place. Omori: thin, long, white soba. The sauce has a strong dashi flavor without feeling artificial, and the soba holds its own with its aroma. The soba's deep, nourishing flavor slowly comes through amid the rich sauce, which is irresistible. Quite a loud mori soba. Ebi katsu don: I thought I was being tempted by the earlier customer's tempura soba, but ordered something a little different. This is ebi katsu. The one with shrimp tempura should be ten-toji don, lol. But this is delicious too, with its sharply defined dashi-based rice-bowl sauce. The accompanying clear soup is tasty with the smoky aroma of karebushi, but sipping the mori sauce diluted about 10 times with sobayu really opens up the flavor! I also hadn't realized it came with a small portion of cold bukkake soba. Sobayu might work with this too. Ah, that was delicious! But a notice inside said they would close from 11/12 while the owner undergoes treatment… Please take care, and please be sure to reopen.
View on GoogleA soba shop 2 minutes on foot from 鷺ノ宮 Station(*ˊᵕˋ*) While taking a walk, I spotted a tasty-looking soba shop and went in! When I entered after 17:00, there was 1 group of customers, but it filled up right away. Everything looked delicious, so I had such a hard time choosing, and went with zaru soba and tenju! The soba went down smoothly. The sauce was just the right amount and delicious too. I was surprised the moment I opened the tenju!! There were 2 big shrimp inside! The sauce, rice, and shrimp were fantastic. It was so delicious that I finished it in no time. I'd love to go again〜. Both the soba and tenju were delicious, so I recommend them〜✌︎ If you go to 鷺ノ宮, definitely try it〜 ✩zaru soba ¥770 ✩tenju ¥1600 ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧ Thank you for reading to the end♫ If you like, please like, save, and follow✨️ I also post on Instagram and 食べログ, so I'd be happy if you took a look୨୧ Instagram☞@pinkpinkpink0875 食べログ☞pinkpinkpink0875 ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧。♥。‧˚♡˚ ‧
View on Google豊年屋 kitsune soba 680 yen A neighborhood soba shop near 鷺ノ宮 Station that I visit fairly often. At lunchtime it can be full depending on the timing, so lately I've been visiting at off-peak hours. Slightly sweet broth with refined soba. The soba portion is modest for a neighborhood soba shop, but it's very delicious.
