I visited today. I was actually aiming for the ramen shop next door, but they were still prepping, so I took the plunge and came in here. The older owner was watching TV with nothing much to do, but he didn’t look like a bad person. From the various menu options, I chose the diced steak set. I didn’t think the miso soup tasted sour, personally. For this much food at ¥600, it’s worth it!

I went over 1 year ago. The place had a dodgy atmosphere, but I went in around 20:00. There were 2 customers ahead of me. One left as I entered, so effectively 1. No greeting. The customer seemed to have ordered something… That customer… what’s wrong? He looks incredibly anxious?… There was talking the whole time… It was the old owner talking to himself… Complaining about things being unavailable… This looks seriously dodgy, I thought, starting to find it entertaining as I watched while smoking. About 10 minutes passed, I guess… The other customer’s food wasn’t getting made at all… Huh? Only now microwaving the rice? This is ridiculous… Should I even order in this situation? I took the plunge, thinking it had better be something cooked, simple, and quick… Unavailable. I tried another order. Unavailable… The instant he said, “Why do you keep ordering stuff we don’t have,” my feet were heading for the exit. He was a seriously dodgy person, constantly muttering complaints to himself.

I went in thinking, “This place must be delicious.” This was several years ago. An elderly man who seemed to have dementia served very politely, but the man cooking was constantly irritated and shouting at him, which was frightening. The elderly man hadn’t done anything wrong. I felt so sorry for him that I couldn’t relax over my meal. Like a forest of ascetic suffering. Also, when I asked, “Until what time are you open?” the reply was, “Well, if you tell us to stay open late, we will.” So does that mean they’ll do it if a big order comes in? Sorry for just being a customer ordering a cheap set meal😥 It wasn’t pleasant.

I was served sour miso soup that might have gone bad. Various things were floating in the water too.
