I arrived at 6 pm. There were only two tables occupied. Everything else was free. The owner quickly told me everything was full and wouldn't let me sit. It was probably because he saw I was a foreigner, even though I spoke to him in Japanese. In 2025, that's unacceptable.

The Akita kiritanpo is incredibly delicious. The vegetables and chicken eaten with it are delicious too. Enjoy the remaining broth with rice. A winner! The owner is friendly, and the interior makes chatting easy! Apparently the kiritanpo ingredients change with the seasons, so I'll be back!

A drinking spot focused on Akita cuisine. He was working alone but served us attentively. It seemed to have many regulars, but it didn't feel difficult to enter. The tatami seating was horigotatsu-style, so it was comfortable. The food was delicious too. Next time I'd like to try kiritanpo nabe.

I went in on the recommendation of a regular passing by, and it was a great find. You can enjoy kiritanpo even in midsummer. The owner is a good person too. Thanks for always looking after me.

Evenings are good too, but lunch is fantastic! The owner, who's from Akita and has also worked in Akasaka, runs it alone. It's basically an izakaya, but every lunch dish is delicious, the portions are generous, and prices are low. I go every day, and I don't understand why anyone wouldn't choose it for lunch even if it means going a little out of their way (laugh). The most popular is 唐揚げ定食580円. Getting this flavor and portion in Tokyo for 580円 seems practically impossible—the quality is that high! My recommendation is サバの塩焼き定食700円. The skin is crisp, the flesh plump and juicy; once you've had the mackerel here, it's so delicious you won't want it anywhere else! And above all, the plain rice here is delicious! Just what you'd expect from someone from Akita! The owner's personality is fantastic too, and since it's a small place, I honestly don't want to tell too many people because I don't want it crowded, but it's so wonderful I can't help talking about it.
