Edit: I am changing my review to 1 star. The reason is because they use styrofoam for the containers and when I ordered some chicken, it melted quite a bit of the styrofoam. It would be better for paper or other safer material to be used. Fried chicken restaurant near the station. They have salted and soy sauce karaage as standard along with other varieties in different sizes. There are also sets that come with rice and occasionally side dishes. Taste is good and pretty cheap. They also accept a variety of different payments.

The chicken was delicious. They were very accomodating even though I’m a stupid tourist who doesn’t speak Japanese. They also gave our toddler a small toy!

I had the umashio karaage and the soy sauce karaage. The coating was crispy and crunchy! The meat inside was plump, tender, and juicy. Even though some time passed between buying and eating it, it was super delicious karaage!

Huh?? Kinda oily?? The energetic staff member who's always working wasn't there Maybe because the staff changed? The taste is fine but it's oily!

I feel like the karaage has changed since the start of this year. The coating is thick and hard. It soaks up so much oil that I wonder if they changed the oil temperature or frying time. It's heavy. I ordered the classic soy sauce flavor but there was no garlic taste, and even the seasoning has changed. If it were just once, I'd have let it go, like "maybe they messed up the recipe?", but this is the 3rd time, so it's like, seriously, what happened (lol). It used to be really delicious karaage, crispy and juicy, so this is such a letdown!! It's not because it wasn't freshly fried or anything… it's just gotten worse.
