A good place for trying the “Chuka” or Japanese style Chinese food, the restaurant is small but quite busy during lunch time packed with local residents. The menu has a lot of options from sets to noodles and stir fry dishes. Taste is good as well as the portions. The cold Chinese noodle summer special was very fresh with a well balance ingredients worth to try!

新井薬師前 萬来軒 Paako men＋shumai Got turned away once, but charged back like a rhino🦏💨 Just as I was feeling relieved inside, I found out they were closed that night, tomorrow, and the day after—talk about a close call lol A certain source had recommended the curry, and I'd spotted the powerful words “salted tongue and scallion set meal,” all wonderfully tempting, but I was in a fried-food kind of mood When the paako men arrived, it was curry-flavored🍛 Does meeting curry people often improve your curry luck? lol As I kept eating and thinking that, the pepper power inside the coating came to the forefront! A neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Individual dishes are a little expensive, so the sets are better value. Mabo men alone is 950円, but the set was 1000円. On dates containing 8 each month, ramen and pan-fried gyoza are discounted. Ramen 650円→400円 Pan-fried gyoza 450円→320円 You can switch ramen and other dishes to thin noodles. They also have non-Chinese options like grilled fish set meals and katsu curry, and quite a few people were ordering those. It gets busy and can be full during lunchtime, so going a little outside those hours might be a good idea.

Came in for Saturday lunch. Already there: 2 mom friends with kids, a couple, and lone wolves ×2. A long-standing neighborhood Chinese restaurant, clean inside and pretty comfortable. Lunch B's ramen & half curry was a good pairing of simple, classic Tokyo ramen and yellow pork curry with a Showa-era feel. The lady serving the food had a thoroughly local aura that added character too. A large bottle of beer for 700円—cheap!
