An oasis, a place of meditation and relaxation. Small menu, but the egg toast is absolutely fantastic. The owners are very distinguished and very polite. Absolutely reccomended.

This place has a warm and comforting atmosphere which is definitely perfect for people who just want to have a slow and relaxing time. It’s run by an elderly couple and they seem very accommodating. From the entrance, there is a little garden that makes you feel like you are escaping from the hectic city and going to the countryside. The inside is just as beautiful as well. Everything is neat and organized. You also have to take off your shoes and put on the slippers that they provide by the entrance. As for the coffee and food, 10/10!!! I had toast, iced coffee, and egg sandwich. The coffee is tasty and they serve it with syrup and milk if you don’t like your coffee black. The toast is perfectly done and served with strawberry jam. The outside is crisp and the inside is soft. The toast was served with a warm bowl of sweet corn soup which I definitely loved. I was also given a small scoop of vanilla ice cream although I’m not sure if it was a freebie or if it came with the toast or coffee. Either way, I really enjoyed this place. I strongly recommend it and will definitely come back again!

Heaven on earth!!! I had the most delicious egg sandwich and the garden is so beautiful!! I had an unforgettable experience. The staff is kind, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is perfection.

ばらーど (Ballade) was re-open with this name from 1966 at Sotokanda. Then move to Ueno, Kyobashi, until now cafe is located at nakano by renovated from old Japanese style house. I like this place. Relaxing place. Feel like you travel back to Showa era of Japan. Coffee was good. They carefully select the coffee bean which origin from Colombia, Mocha, Brazil, and Guatemala. Toasted Vegetable Sandwich also very good. Inside the cafe is non-smoking area. You can smoke if you sit outside the cafe. Good choice for your slow rhythm holiday.

I am a foreigner, and it a truly a perfect experience. I've felt like very welcome at a grand father's friend home. And it feels nice. Literally the best milk shake I have never tasted in all my life. Arigato Gozaimasu 🙏
