We visited here as three 20’s men. Food was clean and fast. I enjoyed traditional japan chinese style flavour. They worked only 2people. One kichen & one server. It was really tiny and sillent style restaurant. I recommend to visit here with at least 3people if you want to enjoy variety of chinese food.

Excellent food

I was looking for somewhere to have lunch while working, and happened to see no queue, so I went in. I sat at a four-person table, then moved when a counter seat opened up. The hoikoro set meal at 850円 is a blessing for office workers. It comes with a salad, and the rice portion isn't bad either. The seasoning is strong, so opinions may differ, but the speed of service, courteous staff, and clean kitchen deserve a high score. There's no need to compare it with chains like 王将; you can feel the effort put in by this independent restaurant. In this day and age, we should be grateful for this price and portion size in front of a station. When I left at 13:15, it made sense that four groups were waiting outside. If I were nearby, I'd go again!

『Perhaps a convenient neighborhood Chinese restaurant near the station』Visited just after noon on 5/13/’26; I stopped by after a medical appointment, deliberately choosing this neighborhood Chinese restaurant instead of my usual 『餃子の王将』. I entered around 12:33; there were ２ empty counter seats, but it was almost full. From the 4 set meals posted on the wall, 『chicken karaage set』, 『hoikoro set』, 『suanlatangmian set』, and 『mapo rice bowl＋half ramen』, I ordered the 『hoikoro set』 without hesitation. About 8 minutes later, at 12:41, the main ”hoikoro” and ”rice” were served. A standard combination of cabbage, green peppers, and pork belly. As for seasoning, it seemed they weren't using ”doubanjiang” or ”douchi”, but rather ”tianmianjiang” and ”soy sauce”. However, it came out quite ”soupy”, without much richness, and I could barely taste the ”tianmianjiang”. It didn't seem they were passing the vegetables through hot oil, or cooking just the vegetables to about 7 tenths done first, then frying the pork belly until fragrant and browned before returning the vegetables. So the finished dish was soggy and had quite a lot of liquid. The same kind of dish at the nearby 『餃子の王将』 costs 935円, compared with 850円 here, a difference of 85円, so which you choose depends on your perspective. With a small team of 1 man cooking in the kitchen, 1 woman washing dishes and doing other preparation, and 1 person on the floor, I think it's difficult to expect too much. The 『chicken karaage set』 ordered by the man next to me seemed to take quite a while, so depending on your menu choice, you may have a fairly long wait. Thank you for the meal・・・・next time I'll try the 『hoikoro set』 at another restaurant.

A renowned restaurant right near Musashi-Sakai Station. Even solo diners may be seated at a 4-person table if the counter is full, so turnover might not be very quick. If you don't want to wait, lining up 20 minutes before opening will get you into the first seating, even on holidays. The lunch menu is good value and comes with rice and salad. Sometimes I go with my spouse, sometimes with my son. Hoikoro, gyoza, kantonmen, gomoku soba, mapo tofu, karaage, and more・・everything is delicious, with generous portions, and I'm very satisfied. The atmosphere and service are good too, so I recommend it.
