Hidden spot for Kinki. Even it’s a neighborhood restaurant but people lining up before it opens. So don’t underestimate the popularity of this spot. For food, rice was great, how can you say no to a whole boiled Kinki for just over 2000 JPY? Most people order Kinki while waiting. I remember only 2 ladies working in the restaurant but they were efficient. It was a bit too sweet in the end but I wouldn’t be picky about it.
View on GoogleExcellent local teishoku restaurant with amazing atmosphere. Their menu focuses primarily on different types of fish. This was difficult for me to understand since my Japanese is quite poor, but the staff could tell and were so kind and helpful to provide us with a picture menu. I'm not usually interested in this style of fish, but I was blown away by how delicious the food was. The flavors and textures of the fish were perfect. Also their miso soup had clams in them! You can tell that the chefs value the quality of their food. Overall an amazing experience and would come again.
View on GoogleNice nondescripts place for baked or broiled fish. Seating only ~12 but the waitress takes your order while you wait in line, so it works out. Sushi grade rice, bottomless cold green tea, very thin chopsticks, seating opposite unknown persons. Don’t worry about courtesy if you want to pour sauce into your rice bowl.
View on GoogleWe tried two recommended dishes with fish, and we were simply amazed by the rich and deep flavor. The staff was kind, atmosphere cozy and everything was so satisfying.
View on GoogleThe main couse - fish is really delicious! I don't know which set is better, so I chose salty one, the Saba one. I originally wanted to say whether salty grilling needs to be paired with grated radish, but I didn't expect it to be another good flavor.
