This is an old neighborhood Chinese restaurant that has been around for years. The building has history, but the interior was thoroughly cleaned, so I could enjoy my meal comfortably. It seems popular, with customers coming in constantly. I think turnover is quick. I ordered the ramen and fried rice lunch set. The ramen had a gentle, nostalgic soy-sauce-based flavor. The fried rice had simple ingredients. It was lightly seasoned, but tasty enough to be fully satisfying. Thanks for the meal✨

A long-established neighborhood Chinese restaurant in 三鷹 A short walk from the north exit, you will find a distinctive hexagonal sign bearing the name 安楽. The interior is spacious, mainly with table seating, and the kitchen is at the back. The menu focuses on the classics, but 卵めし apparently is this restaurant's specialty. The standard set is ramen and 卵めし, but you can pair it with another ramen by paying the difference. Since it was cold tonight, I chose the set with miso ramen. The miso ramen has plenty of vegetables and thin noodles. It stays hot no matter how much you eat! And 卵めし is rice topped with a raw egg and chopped chashu, eaten with egg, soy sauce, and vinegar or chili oil added—a menu item original to this restaurant. Wow, junky and delicious! I was full and about to pay… when an after-meal coffee appeared. What thorough service! In the evening, plenty of people come in small groups for drinks, giving it the feel of a true neighborhood Chinese restaurant loved by the community. Payment is cash only.

My first visit to this long-established neighborhood Chinese restaurant, which had previously been featured on TV, was just before noon on a weekday. Whether a lingering habit from the pandemic or restaurant policy… almost every table was occupied by a solo diner. Luckily, I was seated without waiting. Since it was my first visit, I ordered the ramen & fried rice set, and the food arrived without much of a wait. The ramen had the nostalgic flavor of simple chuka soba, and the fried rice was moist; I enjoyed both. Thanks for the meal. On a later visit… I visited at lunchtime on a weekday. Perhaps the rain had slowed the arrival of customers, because I was seated straight away. This time I ordered katayakisoba & gyoza, and the food arrived shortly afterward. The katayakisoba had plenty of thick sauce and was steaming, clearly freshly made. The thin noodles were crispy, with mustard served on the plate, and I added vinegar partway through to change the flavor. The gyoza had a crispy exterior and plenty of filling. Both were delicious. Thanks for the meal. On a later visit… Two of us visited before noon. Luckily, we were seated straight away. We ordered 広東麺 & 五目わんたん麺 & gyoza. Before long, piping-hot noodles were in front of us, steaming enough to fog up our glasses. Both had gently flavored soup and plenty of toppings, with the wontons buried under a generous amount of vegetables. The gyoza had slightly thick, crispy wrappers and plenty of meat juices. We enjoyed everything again this time. Thanks for the meal. It started getting crowded after noon, but they apparently do not make customers share tables, so even solo diners occupied tables for 4, and a line formed outside the entrance. Turnover is quick, so even if you queue, it seems you will not have to wait very long.

About a 5-minute walk from the north exit of 三鷹駅 on the JR中央線. The storefront looks like a Showa-era Chinese restaurant. It relocated from 要町 in 池袋 and is now run by the second generation. Established in 三鷹 for 47 years. A legendary neighborhood Chinese restaurant. At first, the movie-loving owner put movie posters on the walls. Then people started asking him to display them for promotion, and now all sorts of posters are displayed, from major releases to smaller films. Despite nearly 50 years passing, the display case out front is sparkling, and the interior is impeccably clean. As that suggests, every dish is carefully prepared and reliably delicious. The popular ニラレバ炒め定食 is 900円. Large rice is an extra 50円. The nirareba has plenty of garlic chives and no bean sprouts, a nice, straightforward approach. Nirareba with bean sprouts is fine too, but bean sprouts release water and make it watery, so the nirareba without bean sprouts to bulk it out gets my vote. For the liver, rather than thin slices that cook easily, I prefer thick pieces that need to be fried and stir-fried. The nirareba here is faultlessly tasty. It is easy to see why this menu item is popular.
