I was here a few hours before my visit to the Ghibli Museum which is on the other side of the Inokashira park. It was a cloudy day and was going to rain in a few minutes so it was a bit chilly. I was craving something warm and comforting when I came across this little hole in the wall looking cafe that was selling CHAI in the middle of Tokyo! I was so excited to try this despite my husband warning me that it might not taste authentic, I still went ahead with getting a ginger tea for myself. My oh my was I happy with my decision, this was one of the finest Chais I have ever tasted in my life and I come from the land of Chai!! I was so happy to have had this warm and cozy cup of chai on my trip to Japan. If you’re around and love chai you have got to get one
View on GoogleThe best chai I've had in Tokyo (so far)! 😋 Located right next to Inokashira Park, Chai Break is a really good place to relax in. During my visit, I ordered their original chai latte (masala chai) and it definitely didn't dissapoint. Unlike the usual chai lattes served in Tokyo, this one had a very nice balance of flavor and wasn't too sweet 🥰 Furthermore, the chai they used didn't taste artificial at all. If you sit on a counter seat, you can watch the staff extract the tea themselves! The atmosphere in Chai Break is another reason to come and visit as well 🧘♀️ It's a very relaxing and quiet place where almost everyone is reading a book or just using their phones. When I visited last year, they didn't seem to have an English menu but as of this year it seems they now have an English menu available for foreigners 🤩 So don't be intimidated to enter and ask for an English menu! You also have the option to have your drinks to go and chill inside Inokashira Park instead. The staff are also very nice and welcoming 🤗
View on GoogleGreat chai cafe, serving a variety of freshly brewed chai teas, as well as a few food options. The fluffy and not too sweet French toast was very tasty.
View on GoogleTheir chai is good , more on the milky side I liked their hearty french soup with vegetables Its more on the pricey side but food and service is good 👍
View on GoogleThis cafe has a great atmosphere and a really great selection of teas. You can tell they really care about what they’re doing. They sell some teas by the register as well if you want to take something home, which is really nice. Their muffins were also really tasty. I like the coasters and cups they used - like I said, great atmosphere. I got the wakoucha (Japanese black tea) latte. I’d like to visit this cafe again.
