The udon shop next door was extremely crowded, so I came here for lunch. The shop is a little—or rather, very—retro. It's not flashy and Instagrammable (← an outdated word?), but a lovely coffee shop following the classic path. I'd imagined coffee shops as places with cake and coffee, but the mention of 「being particular about vegetables」 on their website struck me as an intriguing contrast, so I ordered the colorful vegetable and leafy salad. And wow, the portion was huge. I never expected something like a power salad at this retro shop. It wasn't the usual 「pile of leaves」 type; it had grilled vegetables and all sorts of ingredients, each with a distinct, delicious flavor. I couldn't tell what flavor the dressing was, but it was delicious anyway. And the coffee included in the set was good too. It was quiet and relaxing, with people reading or leisurely opening their planners, and I enjoyed a relaxed lunch break. However, in keeping with the shop's atmosphere, payment was cash only when I visited. But it was so retro that I could accept it as understandable.
View on GoogleVisited in December 2023. The hamburg steak meat seemed ordinary, but the tomato sauce, accompanying vegetables, and rice were delicious. 1,100円 is cheap…!
View on GoogleA regular coffee shop & lunch spot I found appealing when passing by. Looking down while seated, I spotted 手塚治虫's signature with リボンの騎士. The story goes that 30 years ago, he casually dropped in wearing a beret, ordered coffee, and left a signature. It makes sense that 手塚治虫 liked this place too.
View on GoogleIt has a calm atmosphere and seems like somewhere you can relax. Visited for lunch. The Taiwanese restaurant I wanted to visit was closed, and so was my favorite udon shop. I don't like Jiro-style ramen, so I came in here. The food is delicious, but there aren't that many menu items substantial enough for a full meal. There seem to be quite a few light meals like sandwiches. This is basically a place for coffee or tea. When I entered at 11:40, I was the only customer. Later, a few people who seemed to be doing construction work nearby came in. It was quiet, probably because it was raining.
View on GoogleElegant, relaxed, and soothing. Everything on the menu is delicious. The photo shows pork ginger. They also have hamburg steak with tomato sauce, pilaf, pasta, and more. They apparently now offer takeout such as gapao rice too. I'd like to try it!
