View on Google__________2026/9/4 My first visit to this long-established famous shop; I was happy it had parking (behind the shop). After some deliberation, I ordered a large garlic ramen. They asked whether they could add the garlic and I said "yes," but perhaps they also serve it on a separate plate?? Tokyo tonkotsu ramen with sprinkled pork backfat. Visually, it seemed to have less backfat than I had expected. But tasting the soup, the sweetness of the backfat and saltiness of the seasoning base were nicely balanced, and the backfat definitely came through. The garlic was nicely balanced too, just what you'd expect from a long-established shop. Sipping the soup with the ramen spoon brought in a fair amount of liquid fat too, and it was piping hot. I might prefer a little less liquid fat and more backfat. The noodles are medium-thin and straight. The first bite seemed a little soft, but as I ate, the doneness felt just right. On a first visit, the shop's default doneness really is best. The large serving was too much, so next time I'll get a regular. The bean sprouts were crisp and fairly plentiful. The roast pork wasn't particularly distinctive, I guess. This bowl with a sense of history wasn't too extreme in any direction and was exquisitely balanced, with a flavor that made me want to return. Thank you for the meal🙏
View on GoogleFirst visit🚙 🍜chashu menma¥1550 Toppings are bean sprouts, menma, green onion, chashu, and nori Liquid backfat? There's an incredible amount of lard! It doesn't cool easily, so it stays piping hot to the end The noodle portion is generous too, and the medium-thick straight noodles are pleasant to slurp. The chashu is fatty pork belly and quite salty At first I thought the soup was a little mild, but by the end it felt just right Adding the spicy condiment on the table for an extra kick is good too
