(2026.4) My first visit as part of touring udon restaurants. It participates in「村山うどんの会」, whose member restaurants are all renowned, so my expectations were high. There was a TV crew filming that day, suggesting how popular it is. The interior extends toward the back and feels clean. There were 3 two-person tables, 2 four-person tables, and 3 four-person tatami tables. As you might expect near city hall, it filled up very quickly after opening. It's nice that they take orders from people waiting too. This time I had「肉汁ざるうどん・特盛り(600g)・追加2玉(300g)」and「なす天」, with the extra udon served separately. The udon made with local flour (whole wheat) had a distinct wheat flavor and was delicious! Many restaurants serving「村山糧うどん」in the Murayama area (東村山市・武蔵村山市) make it softer than「昔ながらの武蔵野うどん」, but this place's is relatively firm and closer to Musashino style, which I like. The dipping broth had a good balance of sweetness and saltiness from the kaeshi, and wasn't overly sweet, giving it a somewhat clean taste. The richness of the dashi combined with the flavor of the pork and long green onions was very delicious!! It was mild enough to drink as it was, but because the udon was well drained, it was nice that the broth didn't become very diluted toward the end. The accompanying かき揚げ天 and the なす天 weren't premade; they were piping hot, crisp, and very delicious. There was no salt on the table, so I ate them plain or dipped them in the broth. After finishing everything, I was full and very satisfied with how delicious it was. Restaurants in「村山うどんの会」really are impressively high quality. Thanks for the meal. I returned a few days later and had「豚ロースカツ定食・うどんセット」and「人参天」. Apparently it used to be a butcher's shop, and its meat dishes are well regarded too, so I was looking forward to them. The cutlet was smaller than I'd imagined, but juicy and delicious. Both the regular sauce and the Japanese-style sauce with grated daikon went well with it. The cabbage was tender and delicious. The udon in the set came with condiments and kate accompaniments, and it was nice that the dipping broth was meat broth too. The 人参天 was delicious as well. It's a shame they're regularly closed on Sundays, Mondays, and holidays, but I'd like to come again sometime. I'd also like to try the prepared-food shop next door. Thanks for the meal.
View on GoogleApparently this is a 肉汁うどん and set-meal restaurant that originally was a butcher's shop. A friend invited me, and I visited for the first time as part of a drive! Since it's said to get very crowded, we arrived at opening time. After passing through the noren and entering, there were tatami seats as well as tables for 2 and 4 people. There were 3 of us, so we took a four-person table. Looking at the menu, I learned that 肉汁うどん could be included in a set, so I chose the 豚ロース生姜焼き定食 with a ざるうどん set. After we each ordered, my friend ordered a separate 豚ロースカツ to share. First only the udon arrived, followed by the 生姜焼き set meal and dipping broth. The 生姜焼き looked pale, so I thought it might be lightly seasoned, and it was just as expected. Although the flavor was mild, the meat quality was good, so it was delicious! As for the 肉汁うどん, the udon was good, but there wasn't much long green onion or meat in the dipping broth. The ロースカツ was delicious with either salt or just sauce, and combining mustard and sauce was the best! On the way home, my friend bought chicken karaage at the prepared-food shop next door and gave me 1 piece, which was delicious! As expected of a former butcher's shop, all the meat was high quality❗️ Next time I'd like to try 豚ヒレカツ. The toilet is at the back of the restaurant. The parking lot in front has space for 4 cars, and the second lot across the road has space for 5, making 9 spaces in total.
View on GoogleVisited around 12 noon on a weekday. There were 2 groups waiting, but I got in after about 10 minutes. I ordered a large portion of つけ汁うどん; it takes about 15 minutes to arrive. Vegetable tempura is included by default. There are also vegetables in a small side bowl and a spinach topping, so it's healthy. The udon itself consists of simple thick noodles, but they're plenty chewy and satisfying. This is a 村山かてうどん shop I really like.
View on GoogleI drove 30 minutes from 東久留米 to get here. Their short opening hours raised my expectations, and sure enough, it was full😅 I ordered the classic 肉汁ざるうどん. I've tried udon at various shops, but the udon at 青柳 is really delicious😋
View on GoogleI added an udon set (ざるうどん) to the ロースカツ定食. It was delicious. Customers kept coming in one after another, and the place was bustling.
